Pancreatic neuroendocrine tumors (PanNETs) are rare in von Hippel-Lindau disease (VHL) but cause serious morbidity and mortality. Management guidelines for VHL-PanNETs continue to be based on limited evidence, and survival data to guide surgical management are lacking. We established the European-American-Asian-VHL-PanNET-Registry to assess data for risks for metastases, survival and long-term outcomes to provide best management recommendations. Of 2330 VHL patients, 273 had a total of 484 PanNETs. Median age at diagnosis of PanNET was 35 years (range 10-75). Fifty-five (20%) patients had metastatic PanNETs. Metastatic PanNETs were significantly larger (median size 5 vs 2 cm; P 1.5 cm in diameter were operated. Ten-year survival was significantly longer in operated vs non-operated patients, in particular for PanNETs <2.8 cm vs 652.8 cm (94% vs 85% by 10 years; P = 0.020; 80% vs 50% at 10 years; P = 0.030). This study demonstrates that patients with PanNET approaching the cut-off diameter of 2.8 cm should be operated. Mutations in exon 3, especially of codons 161/167 are at enhanced risk for metastatic PanNETs. Survival is significantly longer in operated non-metastatic VHL-PanNETs

    The production cross-section of J/ψ pairs is measured using a data sample of pp collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13 \sqrt{s}=13 TeV, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 279 ±11 pb−1^{−1}. The measurement is performed for J/ψ mesons with a transverse momentum of less than 10 GeV/c in the rapidity range 2.0 < y < 4.5. The production cross-section is measured to be 15.2 ± 1.0 ± 0.9 nb. The first uncertainty is statistical, and the second is systematic. The differential cross-sections as functions of several kinematic variables of the J/ψ pair are measured and compared to theoretical predictions.The production cross-section of J/ψJ/\psi pairs is measured using a data sample of pppp collisions collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s=13 TeV\sqrt{s} = 13 \,{\mathrm{TeV}}, corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 279±11 pb−1279 \pm 11 \,{\mathrm{pb^{-1}}}. A measurement of the cross-section for W→eÎœW o e
u production in pppp collisions is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 2\,fb−1^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s=8 \sqrt{s}=8\,TeV. The electrons are required to have more than 20 20\,GeV of transverse momentum and to lie between 2.00 and 4.25 in pseudorapidity. The inclusive WW production cross-sections, where the WW decays to eÎœe
u, are measured to be \begin{align*} \begin{split} \sigma_{W^{+}  o e^{+}
u_{e}}&=1124.4\pm 2.1\pm 21.5\pm 11.2\pm 13.0\,\mathrm{pb},\\ \sigma_{W^{-}  o e^{-}\bar{
u}_{e}}&=\,\,\,809.0\pm 1.9\pm 18.1\pm\,\,\,7.0\pm \phantom{0}9.4\,\mathrm{pb}, \end{split} \end{align*} where the first uncertainties are statistical, the second are systematic, the third are due to the knowledge of the LHC beam energy and the fourth are due to the luminosity determination. Differential cross-sections as a function of the electron pseudorapidity are measured. The W+/W−W^{+}/W^{-} cross-section ratio and production charge asymmetry are also reported. Results are compared with theoretical predictions at next-to-next-to-leading order in perturbative quantum chromodynamics. Finally, in a precise test of lepton universality, the ratio of WW boson branching fractions is determined to be \begin{align*} \begin{split} \mathcal{B}(W o e
u)/\mathcal{B}(W  o \mu
u)=1.020\pm 0.002\pm 0.019, \end{split} \end{align*} where the first uncertainty is statistical and the second is systematic.A measurement of the cross-section for W→eÎœW  o e
u production in pppp collisions is presented using data corresponding to an integrated luminosity of 2 2\,fb−1^{-1} collected by the LHCb experiment at a centre-of-mass energy of s=8 \sqrt{s}=8\,TeV.
