On Four-Point Functions of Half-BPS Operators in General Dimensions
We study four-point correlation functions of half-BPS operators of arbitrary
weight for all dimensions d=3,4,5,6 where superconformal theories exist. Using
harmonic superspace techniques, we derive the superconformal Ward identities
for these correlators and present them in a universal form. We then solve these
identities, employing Jack polynomial expansions. We show that the general
solution is parameterized by a set of arbitrary two-variable functions, with
the exception of the case d=4, where in addition functions of a single variable
appear. We also discuss the operator product expansion using recent results on
conformal partial wave amplitudes in arbitrary dimension.Comment: The discussion of the case d=6 expanded; references added/correcte
Evaluating the Potential of Using 5-Azacytidine as an Epimutagen
A number of early flowering lines were induced when 5-azacytidine was applied to germinating flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) seed. The genetics of these lines indicate that the induced changes are epigenetic and probably result from demethylation of the genomic DNA at loci that affect flowering age. Although the growth and development of three stable early flowering lines are altered and the percentage of filled seed was reduced in all three lines compared with controls, measures of seed productivity demonstrated that harvest index was unaffected in two of the lines. In the third, harvest index was lower than normal and both seed set per capsule and seed mass per 100 seed were reduced. Furthermore, six generations after induction this line began to display relatively high levels of polyembryony. The late appearance of this twinning and other aspects related to working with lines induced by 5-azacytidine and using 5-azacytidine as an epimutagen are discussed
AdS/CFT for Four-Point Amplitudes involving Gravitino Exchange
In this paper we compute the tree-level four-point scattering amplitude of
two dilatini and two axion-dilaton fields in type IIB supergravity in AdS5 x
S5. A special feature of this process is that there is an "exotic" channel in
which there are no singleparticle poles. Another novelty is that this process
involves the exchange of a bulk gravitino. The amplitude is interpreted in
terms of N = 4 supersymmetric Yang-Mills theory at large 't Hooft coupling.
Properties of the Operator Product Expansion are used to analyze the various
contributions from single- and double-trace operators in the weak and strongly
coupled regimes, and to determine the anomalous dimensions of semi-short
operators. The analysis is particularly clear in the exotic channel, given the

The pairing state in KFe2As2 studied by measurements of the magnetic vortex lattice
Understanding the mechanism and symmetry of electron pairing in iron-based
superconductors represents an important challenge in condensed matter physics
[1-3]. The observation of magnetic flux lines - "vortices" - in a
superconductor can contribute to this issue, because the spatial variation of
magnetic field reflects the pairing. Unlike many other iron pnictides, our
KFe2As2 crystals have very weak vortex pinning, allowing
small-angle-neutron-scattering (SANS) observations of the intrinsic vortex
lattice (VL). We observe nearly isotropic hexagonal packing of vortices,
without VL-symmetry transitions up to high fields along the fourfold c-axis of
the crystals, indicating rather small anisotropy of the superconducting
properties around this axis. This rules out gap nodes parallel to the c-axis,
and thus d-wave and also anisotropic s-wave pairing [2, 3]. The strong
temperature-dependence of the intensity down to T<<Tc indicates either widely
different full gaps on different Fermi surface sheets, or nodal lines
perpendicular to the axis.Comment: 13 pages, 3 figure
Conformally coupled supermultiplets in four and five dimensions
We obtain by superfield methods the exceptional representations of the
OSp(2N/4,R) and SU(2,2/1) superalgebras which extend to supersingletons of
SU(2,2/2N) and F(4), respectively. These representations describe
superconformally coupled multiplets and appear in three- and four-dimensional
superconformal field theories which are holographic descriptions of certain
anti-de Sitter supergravities

AdS/SCFT in Superspace
A discussion of the AdS/CFT correspondence in IIB is given in a superspace
context. The main emphasis is on the properties of SCFT correlators on the
boundary which are studied using harmonic superspace techniques. These
techniques provide the easiest way of implementing the superconformal Ward
identities. The Ward identities, together with analyticity, can be used to give
a compelling argument in support of the non-renormalisation theorems for two-
and three-point functions, and to establish the triviality of extremal and

On the spectrum of AdS/CFT beyond supergravity
We test the spectrum of string theory on AdS_5 x S^5 derived in
hep-th/0305052 against that of single-trace gauge invariant operators in free
N=4 super Yang-Mills theory. Masses of string excitations at critical tension
are derived by extrapolating plane-wave frequencies at g_{YM}=0 down to finite
J. On the SYM side, we present a systematic description of the spectrum of
single-trace operators and its reduction to PSU(2,2|4) superconformal primaries
via a refined Eratostenes' supersieve. We perform the comparison of the
resulting SYM/string spectra of charges and multiplicities order by order in
the conformal dimension \Delta up to \Delta=10 and find perfect agreement.
Interestingly, the SYM/string massive spectrum exhibits a hidden symmetry
structure larger than expected, with bosonic subgroup SO(10,2) and thirty-two
