Educativa San Miguel, Payand? ?

estrategia. The evaluation in mathematics with a view to the strengthening of learning and the
reflection of the teaching practice draws attention because in the Educational Institutions
the notions of evaluation linked to the control, the sanction and the predominance of a
look focused on indicating only the error and the absent in the students by the evaluating
teacher.
This uncertainty is not only due to a lack of information and understanding of the
processes of evaluative change, but also to the fact that the teaching staff has few
references and experiential learning in formative evaluation to support them. Hence, this
research aimed to describe the influence of formative evaluation in a strategy that
develops the variational thinking in the tenth grade of the San Miguel Educational
Institution, Payand? - Tolima, for this a previous investigation was carried out to
antecedents where it was evidenced that there is very little research on formative
evaluation strategies in the process of teaching and learning of variational thinking, so
that a consultation was made on the theoretical approaches that currently guide the
development of formative evaluations, these approaches contributed to the realization of
a strategy that was applied to the tenth B course, while in the tenth A course, we continued
to evaluate traditionally, in order to observe differences and verify the effectiveness of the
use of formative assessment in the development of variational thinking.
This is how, qualitative type research allowed to see through the reading of surveys and
the accompaniment in the classroom that after the application of the strategy, the students
and teachers saw the difference and the change in that the formative evaluation It warns
clear and specific learning objectives, goes beyond the learning context, Identifies current
knowledge and skills of the student and the necessary steps to achieve the desired
objectives. In addition, valuable changes in attitude towards the mathematical evaluation by the students were evidenced, better participation in the classes, greater acceptance
of the responsibility of the results and better relations between classmates and teacher.
