Secured Scheme for Privacy Preserving and Node Authentication Mechanism for a Special Mobile Ad hoc Network

    Get PDF
Opportunistic networks are a special type of Mobile Ad hoc network which are wirelessly interlinked nodes with the absence of end to end connectivity. All nodes in an opportunistic network are free to move in an environment. Due to the high degree of mobility of nodes, opportunistic networks differ significantly from the existing traditional networks and it works on store, carry &forward mechanism in which, each node has a communication range. Within its proximity, if any node comes, it can send and receive messages. In an opportunistic network, there is no proper infrastructure available for communication and node have limited storage and computational capabilities. The major problem being faced in an opportunistic network is the identification of normal and malicious nodes because due to the open nature of the opportunistic network, malicious nodes also can join the network and perform some malicious activities like Sybil attack. We propose a remedy to address the authentication and privacy issue that can arise in an opportunistic network. According to the findings of the simulation, the proposed research work satisfies the authentication and privacy criteria of an opportunistic network

Herbal combination plays a major role in enhancing the activity due to its synergetic effects. Many well-known plants possess their antibacterial activity individually, and a combination of these may lead to the better efficacy of results. Plants belonging to the family Euphorbiaceae and Laminaceae possess an excellent antibacterial effect against various bacteria. However, secondary metabolites like; terpenes, alkaloids, and phenolic compounds are well for their free radical scavenging activity, which may inhibit the growth of microorganisms. Thus, the combination of these herbal plants is evaluated for antibacterial activity using hydrogel forms solution

Avascular necrosis of humeral head in an elderly patient with tuberculosis: a case report

Abstract

Introduction

Osteonecrosis (avascular necrosis) is known to be caused by high-dose corticosteroid therapy, alcoholism and rarely by infections. However, a tubercular etiology of this condition is very rare. A review of the literature yielded only a few cases of polyarticular tuberculosis with osteonecrosis in immunosuppressed individuals. No case of monoarticular tubercular osteonecrosis diagnosed by aspiration cytology was found. Since tuberculosis is a curable disease, an early and accurate diagnosis is essential.

Case presentation

A 60-year-old Indian man presented with diffuse swelling and pain in the left shoulder for the previous 6 months. A computed tomography scan of the left shoulder revealed crescentic lucency in the humeral head, suggestive of osteonecrosis. Fine needle aspiration cytology smears from the swelling showed features of an acute suppurative lesion. Stain for acid-fast bacillus was positive and thus, a final clinico-pathological diagnosis of osteonecrosis of humeral head with tubercular etiology was rendered. The patient was initiated on anti-tuberculous therapy with symptomatic improvement in his condition.

Conclusion

Osteonecrosis, a debilitating disease, may rarely occur due to tuberculosis, especially in endemic areas. Fine needle aspiration cytology is an effective and inexpensive modality for an early diagnosis of the tubercular etiology of osteonecrosis.</p

Management of traumatised maxillary central incisor with immature open apex using mineral trioxide aggregate and tailor made gutta percha: a case report

Root development and apex closure after the eruption of teeth takes a minimum of 3-4 years. If trauma to the pulp occurs during this period, it becomes a challenge for the clinician to treat the pulpal injury. Apexification is the treatment of choice for necrotic teeth with immature apex. Apexification done with calcium hydroxide encounters certain difficulties like very long treatment time, possibility of tooth fracture and incomplete calcification of the bridge. Mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) was introduced as an alternative material to traditional materials for the apexification of immature permanent teeth. This case report presents successful management of a case with open apex using MTA followed by Tailor made gutta-percha

It can be used for better budget prediction which can help to run the business in good financial shape. It also helps reducing error and optimizing the operational cost in better way. The MIS report will be generated on the low-level accounting data which has day to day transaction linked to each GL accounting code. The report will display the Actual amount for each particulars (report lines), along with budgeted amount

The Impact of Perceived Employability on The Employment Quality of Management Graduates: The Mediating Role of Focused Job Search

    Get PDF
Gaining quality employment as the outcome of an exhaustive job search process apparently has no clear pathway for success. With little experience of the job market, young graduates’ initial steps into the complexity of finding the right job essentially need guidance. This study provides insights on how recent management graduates could achieve long-term employment success through factors that would assist them in obtaining quality jobs. A conceptual framework rooted in social-cognitive career theory imparted the present study a twofold purpose of examining the effect of perceived employability (internal and external) and focused job search on employment quality (starting salary and job satisfaction) and investigating the intervening employment quality. A two-wave correlational study was performed which involved 250 recently employed management graduates. The structural equation modelling analysis via Partial Least Square (PLS) found that the internal perceived employability was significantly related to starting salary and job satisfaction. However, the external perceived employability was only significantly related to starting salary. Moreover, a competitive mediation by focused job search showed its negative influence on the relationship between internal perceived employability and starting salary. Finally, the results upheld that employability perceptions and a job search approach are vital aspects to be considered during the university-to-work transition. These insights would assist the career counsellors to instill positive employability perceptions in the focused management graduates to enhance their possibility of obtaining better pay and a more satisfying job

Unlocking the potential of loyalty programs in reference to customer experience with digital wallets

    Get PDF
The emergence of digital technology has fundamentally transformed how businesses generate value for their customers. One of the critical components of this paradigm shift in digital transformation is improving customer experience, which benefits both consumers and organizations. This study aims to evaluate customer experience and its influence on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the digital wallet domain. It also analyzes the moderating role of loyalty programs. This study was conducted in the Indian context since, alongside advancements in technology and a focus on digitalization, there has been a substantial increase in the acceptance of cashless payment options. The data from 349 respondents using the snowball sampling technique were collected through Google Forms, and SmartPLS 4.0 was used for analysis. The results showed that loyalty and satisfaction are significantly influenced in the digital wallet domain if organizations work on factors affecting customer experience. The results also proved that loyalty programs moderate the relationship between customer experience and customer satisfaction. This analysis successfully unlocked the potential of loyalty programs and established that loyalty programs do not moderate customer loyalty. However, organizations must note that poorly designed loyalty programs are just like any other sale promotion scheme, which adds up to the promotional expense without achieving the overall long-term objective of sustaining loyal consumers

Angiogenesis in Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma: An Intercategory Comparison of Microvessel Density

Background. This study was aimed at comparing angiogenesis, seen as microvessel density (MVD) in subtypes of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma (NHL). Methods. In this study, 64 cases of NHL diagnosed over a three-year period were included along with 15 lymph node biopsies of reactive hyperplasia. NHLs were classified using REAL classification, and immunohistochemistry was performed for CD34 in all cases. CD34-stained sections were evaluated for “hot spots,” where MVD was assessed and expressed as per mm2. Appropriate statistical methods were applied. Results. There were 6 cases of well-differentiated lymphocytic lymphoma (SLL), 21 diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL), 15 follicular lymphoma, 10 lymphoblastic lymphoma, 7 MALToma, and 5 peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL). Mean MVD was highest in reactive hyperplasia (191.92 ± 12.16 per mm2) compared to all NHLs. Among NHLs, PTCL demonstrated the highest MVD (183.42 ± 8.24) followed by DLBCL (149.91 ± 13.68). A significant difference was found in MVD between reactive and individual lymphoma groups. SLL had significantly lower MVD than other lymphoma subtypes. Conclusion. Angiogenesis, assessed by MVD, showed significant differences among subtypes of NHL, especially the indolent types like SLL. The higher MVD in aggressive lymphomas like PTCL and DLBCL can potentially be utilized in targeted therapy with antiangiogenic drugs
