Magnonic momentum transfer force on domain walls confined in space

Momentum transfer from incoming magnons to a Bloch domain wall is calculated using one dimensional continuum micromagnetic analysis. Due to the confinement of the wall in space, the dispersion relation of magnons is different from that of a single domain. This mismatch of dispersion relations can result in reflection of magnons upon incidence on the domain wall, whose direct consequence is a transfer of momentum between magnons and the domain wall. The corresponding counteraction force exerted on the wall can be used for the control of domain wall motion through magnonic linear momentum transfer, in analogy with the spin transfer torque induced by magnonic angular momentum transfer.Comment: 5 pages, 3 figure, published versio

Research of the active reflector antenna using laser angle metrology system

Active reflector is one of the key technologies for constructing large telescopes, especially for the millimeter/sub-millimeter radio telescopes. This article introduces a new efficient laser angle metrology system for the active reflector antenna of the large radio telescopes, with a plenty of active reflector experiments mainly about the detecting precisions and the maintaining of the surface shape in real time, on the 65-meter radio telescope prototype constructed by Nanjing Institute of Astronomical Optics and Technology (NIAOT). The test results indicate that the accuracy of the surface shape segmenting and maintaining is up to micron dimension, and the time-response can be of the order of minutes. Therefore, it is proved to be workable for the sub-millimeter radio telescopes.Comment: 10 pages, 15 figure

Possible large CPCP violation in three body decays of heavy baryon

We propose a new mechanism which can introduce large CPCP asymmetries in the phase spaces of three-body decays of heavy baryons. In this mechanism, a large CPCP asymmetry is induced by the interference of two intermediate resonances, which subsequently decay into two different combinations of final particles. We apply this mechanism to the decay channel Λb0pπ0π\Lambda_b^0 \to p \pi^0\pi^-, and find that the differential CPCP asymmetry can reach as large as 50%50\%, while the regional CPCP asymmetry can reach as large as 16%16\% in the interference region of the phase space.Comment: 7 pages, 2 figures, 2nd version accepted by Phys. Localized direct CP violation in B±ρ0(ω)π±π+ππ±B^\pm\rightarrow \rho^0 (\omega)\pi^\pm\rightarrow \pi^+ \pi^-\pi^\pm

We study the localized direct CP violation in the hadronic decays B±ρ0(ω)π±π+ππ±B^\pm\rightarrow \rho^0 (\omega)\pi^\pm\rightarrow\pi^+ \pi^-\pi^\pm, including the effect caused by an interesting mechanism involving the charge symmetry violating mixing between ρ0\rho^0 and ω\omega. We calculate the localized integrated direct CP violation when the low invariant mass of π+π\pi^+\pi^- [m(π+π)lowm(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}] is near ρ0(770)\rho^0(770). For five models of form factors investigated, we find that the localized integrated direct CP violation varies from -0.0170 to -0.0860 in the ranges of parameters in our model when 0.750<m(π+π)low<0.8000.750<m(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}<0.800\,GeV. This result, especially the sign, agrees with the experimental data and is independent of form factor models. The new experimental data shows that the signs of the localized integrated CP asymmetries in the regions 0.470<m(π+π)low<0.7700.470<m(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}<0.770\,GeV and 0.770<m(π+π)low<0.9200.770<m(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}<0.920\,GeV are positive and negative, respectively. We find that ρ\rho-ω\omega mixing makes the localized integrated CP asymmetry move towards the negative direction, and therefore contributes to the sign change in those two regions. This behavior is also model independent. We also calculate the localized integrated direct CP violating asymmetries in the regions 0.470<m(π+π)low<0.7700.470<m(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}<0.770\,GeV and 0.770<m(π+π)low<0.9200.770<m(\pi^+\pi^-)_{low}<0.920\,GeV and find that they agree with the experimental data in some models of form factors.Comment: 22 pages, 2 figures. arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:hep-ph/0602043, arXiv:hep-ph/0302156 by other author

Non-classical properties and algebraic characteristics of negative binomial states in quantized radiation fields

We study the nonclassical properties and algebraic characteristics of the negative binomial states introduced by Barnett recently. The ladder operator formalism and displacement operator formalism of the negative binomial states are found and the algebra involved turns out to be the SU(1,1) Lie algebra via the generalized Holstein-Primarkoff realization. These states are essentially Peremolov's SU(1,1) coherent states. We reveal their connection with the geometric states and find that they are excited geometric states. As intermediate states, they interpolate between the number states and geometric states. We also point out that they can be recognized as the nonlinear coherent states. Their nonclassical properties, such as sub-Poissonian distribution and squeezing effect are discussed. The quasiprobability distributions in phase space, namely the Q and Wigner functions, are studied in detail. We also propose two methods of generation of the negative binomial states.Comment: 17 pages, 5 figures, Accepted in EPJ

Analysis of the strong vertices of ΣcND\Sigma_cND^{*} and ΣbNB\Sigma_bNB^{*} in QCD sum rules

The strong coupling constant is an important parameter which can help us to understand the strong decay behaviors of baryons. In our previous work, we have analyzed strong vertices ΣcND\Sigma_{c}^{*}ND, ΣbNB\Sigma_{b}^{*}NB, ΣcND\Sigma_{c}ND, ΣbNB\Sigma_{b}NB in QCD sum rules. Following these work, we further analyze the strong vertices ΣcND\Sigma_{c}ND^{*} and ΣbNB\Sigma_{b}NB^{*} using the three-point QCD sum rules under Dirac structures q ⁣ ⁣ ⁣/p ⁣ ⁣ ⁣/γαq\!\!\!/p\!\!\!/\gamma_{\alpha} and q ⁣ ⁣ ⁣/p ⁣ ⁣ ⁣/pαq\!\!\!/p\!\!\!/p_{\alpha}. In this work, we first calculate strong form factors considering contributions of the perturbative part and the condensate terms qq\langle\overline{q}q\rangle, αsπGG\langle\frac{\alpha_{s}}{\pi}GG\rangle and qgsσGq\langle\overline{q}g_{s}\sigma Gq\rangle. Then, these form factors are used to fit into analytical functions. According to these functions, we finally determine the values of the strong coupling constants for these two vertices ΣcND\Sigma_{c}ND^{*} and ΣbNB\Sigma_{b}NB^{*}.Comment: arXiv admin note: text overlap with arXiv:1705.0322
