    Variasi Mutu Fisiologis Benih dan Pertumbuhan Bibit Sengon dari Beberapa Provenan Asal Papua

    Exploration of sengon across Papua was resulted in collection of seeds from various provenances. This research aims to determine physiological seed quality and seed growth of Falcataria moluccana from various provenances in Papua. It consisted of two experiments. The first experiment used 8 provenances with 20 replications. In each replication 1 gram of seed was used. The rate, percentage and value of germination were observed. The second experiment used 8 provenances with 5 replications. Each replication consists of 20 seedlings. Seedling height and diameter were observed. Results demonstrated that provenance origin significantly affected seed physiological quality of F. moluccana. Germination percentage was well performed by provenance from Meagama (Wamena) with germination rate at 87.14% well performed by provenance from Wadapi Menawi (Serui) by 17.35%/etmal and germination value was well performed by Elagaima at 3.69, consecutively. It also significantly affected seedling growth after 3 months at the nursery. Provenance showing the best growth in height and diameter was Meagama (Wamena) at 29.29 cm and 2.61cm, respectively

    RSUD Soreang memiliki banyak inventaris alat/barang diantaranya inventaris Alat/barang perawatan kedokteran, keseluruhan barang, perangkat keras, buku-buku nota, formulir dan alat tulis kantor (ATK). Berbagai fasilitas inventaris Alat/barang pada rumah sakit ini yang perlu dilindungi mengcangkup banyak karakteristik yang sangat perlu dipahami oleh praktisi keamanan sistem informasi yaitu pada dasarnya fasilitas inventaris Alat/barang rumah sakit yang ingin dijaga. Salah satu institusi pemerintahan yang membutuhkan perlindungan inventaris alat/barang adalah rumah sakit sebagai sebuah institusi pelayanan kesehatan.Sistem yang dibangun merupakan sistem menggunakan metode pengembangan System Development Life Cycle dengan fase perencanaan, analisa, desain, implementasi, pengujian dan pemeliharaan. Hasil dari sistem informasi inventaris akan memberikan kemudahan dalam mengelola barang dan mengelola pengajuan kebutuhan

    Identification of Poymorphism and Association Analyses of FMO3 Gene Related with Carcass and Meat Quality in Cihateup Duck

    The aim of this study was to identifypolymorphism and association of the FMO3 gene related to carcass and meat quality in Indonesian Cihateup ducks. A total of sixty Indonesian Cihateup ducks were used in this study. Tissues from breast muscleswas used for genomic DNA. Association analysis showed that the SNP g.849A>G was highly significantly associated (P<0.01) with live weight (LW), carcass weight (CW), breast muscle weight (BMW), pH, cooking loss, drip loss (DL), lightness (L*) and redness (a*), TBARS and TMA. Compared to the GG genotype, the AG genotype exhibited greater levels (P < 0.05) LW, CW, pH, a*, TBARS and TMA but not DL and L*. These results will improve the understanding of the functions of the FMO3 gene in carcass and meat quality within the liver and will shed light on FMO3 as a candidate gene in the selection of ducks with good carcass and meat quality trait

    G.640T>C Polymorphism of the TGF-β2 Gene is Associated with Salmonella Pullorum Resistance in Indonesian Chickens

    The objectives of this study were to identify polymorphism of transforming growth factor β2 (TGF-β2) gene associated with Salmonella pullorum resistance in Indonesian chickens. Polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assays were used to genotype Indonesian chickens. Analysis of polymorphism was conducted by using PopGen 3.2 software. The effect of genotype on S. pullorum resistance was analyzed using the SAS General Linear Model (GLM) procedure. Genotyping was performed on 278 chickens from 7 Indonesian chicken populations (Sentul, Merawang, Pelung, Kampung, Parent Cobb broiler, The F1 crossbreed of Kampung x Parent Cobb broiler (KB) and F2 KB x KB. The product of amplification was 284 bp. The TGF-β2| RsaI locus was polymorphic in all populations, producing two alleles (T and C) and three genotypes (TT, CT, and CC). The result from the analysis of the allele and genotype frequency showed that the T allele had a higher frequency than the C allele in all populations. The χ2 analysis showed that the 6 chicken populations were deviated from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium, with the exception of the Parent Cobb broiler chicken. The association result showed that TT genotype was significantly associated with S. pullorum resistance in Sentul chicken. Although the leukocyte concentration, leukocyte differentiation and H/L ratio in Sentul chicken with three of TGF-β2 genotypes (TT, TC, and CC) were not statistically different. In conclusion, polymorphism in the TGF-β2 chicken gene can be used as a candidate marker to increase S. pullorum immune response

    Productivity and Quality of Three Varieties of Ginger on Many Light Intensity Levels Under Stand of Pine

    The high demand of medicinal plants with limited agricultural land availability can be solved by the utilization of land under forest canopy through applying agroforestry. This study aims to assess the effect of different varieties of ginger and different shading intensities of pine (Pinus merkusii) on the productivity and quality of ginger. The design used was a split plot design consisting of 3 replicates with an area of 100 m2 for each plot and with spacing of 50 x 50 cm. The main plot is the light intensity treatments, i.e. 50-58% (age class II), 68-77% (age class I) and 87-92% (poor increment), whereas the sub plot is the varieties of ginger i.e.: small white ginger (emprit), large white ginger (gajah) and red ginger. Results showed that the light intensity does not significantly affect the percentage of growth, moisture content, volatile oil, fiber, starch and ash. Varieties of ginger significantly affect the percentage of growth, height growth and weight of rhizome, but do not significantly affect the moisture content, volatile oil, fiber, starch and ash . The average yield of each variety of ginger is 5.54 tons/ha, 8.38 tons/ha and 6.7 ton /ha for small white ginger, large white ginger and red ginger, respectively. Agroforestry of ginger plant under pine stand can be done to improve land productivity, especially in poor stand increment

    The Effect of Manure Fertilizer Dose and Intercroppingon Growth of 3 Year Old Teak (Tectona Grandis. L. F)

    Planting system with one species continuously causes the degradation of land and the decline of plant productivity. It also occurs in teak (Tectona grandis L. f.) plantation. Application of manure in intercropping pattern was expected to improve the quality of the soil. This study aims to determine the effect of manure on 3 years old teak productivity and to develop of site management model in silvicultural practices to increase the teak plantation productivity. This study used a completely randomized block design with 8 treatments, 4 replications and 100 plants for each plot. . Tree spacing was 3 x 3 meters. The parameters observed were high and diameter of teak. Statistical analysis used was variance analysis at the 0.05 and 0.01 level test. It was continued by a tendency or trend test for the treatment. The results showed that the manure application 30 tons/ha with intercropping gave the most positive growth compared to other treatments. Meanwhile, intercropping provides better plant compared to non-intercropped plants
