    Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kepuasan pelanggan terhadap kualitas jasa service di bengkel sepeda motor Prototipe Honda serta faktor-faktor yang perlu ditingkatkan untuk meningkatkan kepuasan pelanggan tersebut. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survey dan dilakukan terhadap pelanggan bengkel sepeda motor Prototipe Honda yang terletak di Jalan Gejayan Gg. Komojoyo No. 28 Yogyakarta. Teknik pengambilan data menggunakan metode aksidental. Sampel yang diperoleh sebanyak 75 orang yang dianggap mampu mewakili dari seluruh populasi. Pengambilan data menggunakan kuisoner dan metode wawancara. Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah teknik deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menemukan bahwa kepuasan pelanggan terhadap kualitas jasa servis sepeda motor di bengkel Prototipe Honda FT UNY termasuk dalam kategori baik (dengan rerata skor 2,96 dari nilai maksimal rerata skor 4,00) yang digali melalui 18 butir pernyataan dari angket penelitian. Sedangkan faktor-faktor yang perlu dikembangkan untuk kemajuan bengkel adalah Kenyamanan dari ruang tunggu, penambahan jumlah mekanik, keseragaman dari pakaian kerja/wearpak mekanik, memperbanyak bacaan, peningkatan kemampuan mekanik, penambahan spare part, kebersihan bengkel, serta memperbanyak promosi

    LPTK as the Teacher Education Institution currently experiences increasing challenges in rising more professional candidates and the goverment policy of the teacher recruitment process. The teachers candidates experience limited learning facilities, and it influences their competencies as teachers in Vocational High Schools. The students as the teacher candidates who lack of experiences in industrial environment will have low motivation and passion in the real working world. Therefore, LPTK needs to establish partnerships with schools and industries. Some of the partnerships that are potential to be developed by LPTK includes vocational laboratory simulations, apprenticeships, internships, school-based enterprises, cooperative education, and job shadowing. The hard skills (job skills, teaching skills productive) and the soft skills (attitudes, characters and work climate) are expected to be developed therefore the knowledge and the experiences will be transferred to the students in Vocational High School

    The objective of the study was to investigate (1) the implementation of the jigsaw technique, (2) the students\u27 participation in the jigsaw technique, and (3) the learning achievement of the students in the course of painting technology through the jigsaw technique. This study used a classroom action research design developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart in 2 cycles. The study was conducted in the Department of Automotive Engineering Education, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University involving 28 students. The data collection method used documentation, observation and tests. The instruments used in this study include: an observation sheet and a written test. The data analysis techniques used comparative descriptive and qualitative. The results of this study were: (1) the implementation of the jigsaw technique was conducted in 2 cycles in the subject of painting defects, with the formation of the groups as heterogeneous, delivering the common materials, a pretest, and group discussions between the source and the expert groups (in 2 cycles), and a post test , (2) learning with jigsaw technique can improve the quality of the students\u27 learning, and (3) the jigsaw technique increases 74% of the value of the pretest and the post test

    The objective of this study was to determine; 1) the relevance of competencies in curriculum 2013 with the expectation of the school and the world of business and industry 2) the competencies expected by the school and the world of business and industry for the development of curriculum 2013, and 3) the roles of lecturers and education experts in the implementation of curriculum 2013, especially for the Department of Automotive, Vocational High Schools in Yogyakarta. The study was conducted with survey approach in the industry (authorized workshops), schools (Vocational High School), and universities (YSU and STU). The data collection was conducted using documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The data was analysed using quantitative descriptive statistics. The results showed that: the relevance of competencies in curriculum 2013 with the expected competencies was 82% to 89%. The competencies expected by the schools and the world of business and industry consists of drawing with autocad and / or 3D max, spooring, as well as maintaining hidroulik power steering, measuring and analyzing vehicle emissions, maintaining hydraulic power steering (HPS), analyzing damage in the system of wiring diagram, and conducting damage diagnosis. The lectures' contribution in the socialization and implementation aspects were categorized as good with the mean scores of 73 and 39.5 respectively

    Permasalahan yang sering dihadapi oleh STMIK Amik Riau adalah tidak adanya pedoman berapa jumlah mahasiswa yang diterima pada registrasi mahasiswa baru, sehingga timbul permasalahan perbandingan rasio dan dosen yang tidak seimbang, dan permasalahan ini berujung pada penurunan akreditasi. Untuk menghindari permasalahan tersebut, maka dibangunlah sebuah aplikasi Estimasi Registrasi Mahasiswa baru dengan menggunakan metode Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan yang dipadukan dengan Algoritma Backpropagation.     : Assessing Non English Department Students\u27 Mastery of Academic Content Area Reading. This study addresses mainly college students\u27comprehension on academic texts. It involves 400 respondents of three state and three private universities in Malang with study programs with ‘high, ‘fair\u27, and ‘low\u27 bases on the proportion of the study programs accredited A by the National Board of Accreditation (BAN). Quantitative data were analyzed descriptively and comparatively. The results show reading com­prehension of most respondents ranges from ‘avarage\u27 to ‘low\u27. Most word attack skills and text content attack skills are low. Text structure attack skills are not adequately mastered. The respondents\u27 compre­hension across state universities does not significantly differ, but there is a difference across private univer­sities, limited to certain private universities. A significant difference between the comprehension of stu­dents of state universities and private universities and a significant difference between the comprehension of science and social studies students are evidenced. Most respondents are not yet ready for academic comprehension of English

    Archaeology without its public is nothing, it is a disturbing expression for archaeologists, which encourages them to make a policy that every archaeological research benefited the general public. Academically this study is hoped to find settlement patterns in the past around lakes. Furthermore, the study also tries to find models of the local wisdom of their communities. Values in local wisdom are very important for today's communities and future generations. Considering the aim of the research, the method used is descriptive explorative with an inductive approach, while data collecting is done by carrying out excavations and surveys. It is hoped that the researchers can reveal how people lived in lake areas in the past. The condition of lake areas in the past both its communities and surrounding environment is the dream of future generations. This is the essence of studying archaeology because archaeology studies life in the past to be actualized and implemented in today's life for the sake of the future generations

    PROMOTING ENGAGE STUDY ACTIVATE (ESA) TECHNIQUE TO TEACH SPEAKING SKILL

    ESA (Engage, Study, Activate) technique is one of alternative ways to teach EFL students how to speak in English, comprising three steps: engage, study, and activate. It is believed that this technique can assist the teachers in arousing students' interest, curiosity, and emotion, as well as encouraging them to orally express their feelings, information, and language. The goal of the research was to see whether there was a significant difference in speaking performance between the students who learned using ESA technique and those who were not. A quasi experimental research was administered as the design of the research. The sample was taken by using purposive sampling technique. The researchers considered the number of the students and whether the sample was taught by the same English teacher as choosing the sample. The data was collected using an oral test. The data was analyzed using the t-test. Based on the result of independent sample t-test, it was found that tobtained was 3.174. It was higher than ttable (1.999). It indicated that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Therefore, it confirmed that the students who were taught using ESA technique had better speaking achievement than the students who were not taught using ESA technique.  Keywords: Engage study activate technique, speaking, recount tex

    Return adalah tujuan dari investor untuk berinvestasi di pasar modal. Investor melakukan berbagai cara agar bisa mendapatkan return yang sesuai diinginkan, dengan melakukan analisis sendiri pada perilaku perdagangan suatu saham, ataupun dengan menggunakan sarana yang sudah disediakan dari analis di pasar modal. Informasi-informasi yang dapat digunakan sebagai tolak ukur tingkat return saham Perusahaan yang diteliti adalah ROA, DER, dan EPS. Perusahaan food and beverage dipilih sebagai populasi yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yang terdaftar di BEI periode 2008-2012. Teknik purposive sampling digunakan untuk mendapatkan jumlah sampel. Berdasarkan teknik tersebut, 10 Perusahaan diperoleh sebagai sampel. Teknik analisis regresi linier berganda digunakan dalam penelitian ini dengan hasil bahwa semakin tinggi tingkat ROA dan EPS, maka semakin tinggi juga return sahamnya, hanya DER yang memiliki pengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap return saham
