Developing and maintaining networks on the firm level : A 3-dimensional network model
This paper demonstrates that there exist several different types of networks in the "interjacent marsh" between markets and hierarchies. Depending on the base of resource configuration and co-operation (task dimension), power characteristics and mechanisms for controlling opportunism (people dimension), and both the ability and need for change and flexibility (change dimension), these different types of networks may be identified. These specific networks have different logic's, and a 3-Dimensional model is suggested as an important tool for assessing potential partners when considering constructing a network, but also for assessing an already existing network as a part of an ongoing improvement strategy.Godkänd; 2000; 20071006 (ysko
