Total Knee Replacement (TKR) is the increasing trend now a day, in revision surgery which is associated with aseptic loosening, which is a challenging research for the TKR component. The selection of optimal material loosening can be controlled at some limits. This paper is going to consider the best material selected among a number of alternative materials for the femoral component (FC) by using Graph Theory. Here GTMA process used for optimization of material and a systematic technique introduced through sensitivity analysis to find out the more reliable result. Obtained ranking suggests the use of optimized material over the other existing material. By following GTMA Co_Cr-alloys (wrought-Co-Ni-CrMo) and Co_Cr-alloys (cast-able-Co-Cr-Mo)are on the 1st and 2nd position respectively

Child protection refers to preventing and responding to child abuse and exploitation, that is, child labour, trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, and harmful customary practices. This paper is about child protection issues in Pakistan, one of the South Asian countries in the Indian sub-continent. Pakistan has agreed to provide children with special protection, as a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the child [UNCRC]. Consequently, it is mandatory for the state to protect children. The authors review both internal and external factors affecting child protection in Pakistan in addition to outlining the challenges faced by South Asian countries in the realm of child protection. It then draws recommendations for efficient child protection system in Pakistan

Relationship between consumer price index (CPI) and KSE-100 index trading volume in pakistan and finding the endogeneity in the involved data

This study examined monthly KSE-100 index trading volume response to announcements about Consumer price index (CPI) in the period of January 2004 to august 2009. Regression results supported the hypothesis that change in CPI has significant association with the change in KSE 100 index trading volume and regression was statistically significant and has shown that there is a negative relationship between CPI “Consumer price index” and KSE-100 index trading volume. More over the Presence of endogeneity has also been discussed via applying heckman's correction in the data

Introducing Team Coordination Framework to Support Globally Distributed Teams for Pakistani Software Industry

    Get PDF
Collaborative effort is required in DSD (Distributed Software Development) in order to develop software in manageable components. Immense effort is taking place due to the cultural, geographical and temporal distances among project teams in Pakistani Software Industry to this end. The purpose of this study is to propose a solution during DSD that will help the distributed teams in coordinating their activities. Our solution enhances the management associated activities and assists in optimal usage of team coordination in dispersed settings. The method that we used is single case study type, which involved distributed software business to assess the usefulness and efficiency related to Pakistan’s DSD industries, and has shown strong tendency of participants towards the effectiveness of proposed team coordination framework. Results indicate that the predictable solution will look up the group management, which is considered as a vigorous issue of Pakistani DSD industry. Furthermore, it will assist in resolving the problems of team coordination in distributed situation. One of the most significant current discussion about the proposed solution suggested that it helps in human communication methods team coordination in a distributed environment

Acceptance of Victimisation of Pakistani Women from a Husband’s Aggressive and Controlling Behaviours

Aim: The aim of the study was to investigate attitudes towards victimisation of women from domestic aggression and controlling behaviours in a Pakistani sample. Method: An electronic questionnaire was completed by 360 respondents, 194 females and 154 males. The mean age for females was 26.7 years (SD = 8.0) and 31.9 (SD = 9.3) for males, the age difference was significant. The questionnaire included four scales. Results: Males scored significantly higher on acceptance of victimisation of women from a husband’s aggression and controlling behaviours, the idea that women have themselves to blame for the domestic abuse they undergo, and that women should not divorce. In general, respondents with a low education scored highest on all four scales. For females, age correlated with acceptance of victimisation of women from a husband’s aggression, the idea that women have themselves to blame for the domestic abuse they undergo, and that women should not divorce, but not with acceptance of controlling behaviours. For males, age did not correlate with any of the scales in the study. Conclusions: The study shows that Pakistani males accepted victimisation and controlling of women to a higher degree than did the women themselves, and that a low educational level was associated with acceptance of aggression towards women. For females, but not for males, age correlated with acceptance of victimisation of women
