    Fabrication and study of the organic-inorganic semiconductor diodes formed on n-Si

    We report fabrication and electrical characterization of the organic-inorganic semiconductor diode structures formed by evaporating thin films of three novel low molecular mass organic compounds on n-type Si substrates. The organic compounds containing carbazole and triphenylamine structural units, namely: 9,9'-bis(4-butylphenyl)-3,3'-bicarbazolyl (BPBC), 4-(1H-perimidin-2-yl)-N,N-diphenylbenzenamine (PER) and 9,9'-diethyl-3,3'-bicarbazolyl (EBC) have been synthesized. The current-voltage characteristics of the Au/(BPBC, EBC, PER)/n-Si diode structures measured at T = 295 K revealed rectifying behavior with a potential barrier height values of 0.71 eV, 0.73 eV, 0.76 eV, respectively

    Organic electronics and optoelectronics are newly emerging fields of science and technology that cover chemistry, physics, and materials science. Electronic and optoelectronic devices using organic materials are attractive because of the materials characteristics, potentially low cost, and capability of large-area, flexible device fabrication. Such devices as OLEDs, OPVs, and OFETs involve charge transport as a main process in their operation processes, and therefore, require high-performance charge-transporting materials. This review article focuses on charge-transporting materials for use in OLEDs, OPVs, and OFETs. We have tried to arrange the charge-transporting materials in order by classifying them on the basis of their molecular structures.     Synthesis and investigation of electroactive derivatives containing functional groups

    Cross-linkable monomers with carbazolyl-substituted arylamine core as hole transport agent, and oxetanyl groups as photo-cross-linking moieties have been synthesized and characterized. All the materials are thermally stable and form amorphous films with glass transition temperatures in the range of 120-144 °C. Insoluble, cross-linked films of the monomer 3 have been obtained by photoinduced cationic polymerization. The cross-linked networks have been tested as hole transporting layers in multilayer LEDs with green light emitting polymer. The device containing hole transporting layer of the 3 cross-linked network exhibit good overall performance (turn-on voltage: 5 V; maximum photometric efficiency: 2.6 cd/A; maximum brightness: approx. 5600 cd/m²)Kauno technologijos universiteta

    New electro-active oxetanyl-functionalized oligomers containing carbazol-3,6-diyl and different aromatic amino groups in the main chain

    A series of new cross-linkable oligomers based on 9-(3-methyloxetan-3-ylmethyl)carbazol-3,6-diyl and different aromatic amino groups were synthesized through modified Ullmann coupling reactions. The resulting derivatives were characterized by gel permeation chromatography, differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. These materials possess high thermal stability with onset decomposition temperatures of 351–384 °C. Their glass transition temperatures range from 154 to 250 °C.     1,2-Di[(4-difenilamino)fenil]etenas susintetintasMcMurry kopuliavimo metodu, o 1,2-di[4-(4-metoksidifenilamino)fenil]etenas gautas, atlikus trikakopę sintezę, apimančią Ulmano kopuliavimą, formilinimą ir McMurry reakciją. Junginių terminė analizė atlikta diferencinės skenuojamosios kalorimetrijos metodu. Nustatyta, kad metoksigrupę turinčiam junginiui būdinga žemesnės lydymosi ir stiklėjimo temperatūros bei didesnis morfologinis stiklo stabilumas. Ištirtos optinės ir fotofizikinės bei fotoelektrinės susintetintų junginių savybės.
