Enfermedad de Hirschsprung, una revisión bibliografica

Hirschsprung's disease was described by the Danish pediatrician Harald Hirschsprung in 1888, it is the most common congenital enteric neuropathy, where there is a lack of relaxation of the enteric muscle, with subsequent intestinal obstruction, this disease is characterized by the absence of ganglion cells in the myenteric and submucosal plexuses of the large intestine. Its etiopathogenesis is given by aganglionosis in the digestive tract, mainly affecting the rectosigmoid region. Thus, keeping the internal anal sphincter contracted, it is classified into four types: short segment, the most common; long segment, ultrashort segment and aganglionosis coli. This work presents a review of the etiopathogenesis, the most frequent clinical presentations, the usefulness of the different diagnostic tests and the treatment alternatives. We also offer a review of the complications and treatment and the psychosocial implications of Hirschsprung's disease.La enfermedad de Hirschsprung fue descrita por el pediatra danés Harald Hirschsprung en 1888, edses la neuropatía entérica congénita más común, donde se produce una ausencia de relajación del musculo entérico, con posterior obstrucción intestinal, esta enfermedad se caracterizada por ausencia de células ganglionares en los plexos mientérico y submucoso del intestino grueso, Su etiopatogenia está dada por la aganglionosis en el tracto digestivo, afectando principalmente la región rectosigmoidea. Así, manteniendo contraído el esfínter anal interno, se clasifica en cuatro tipos: segmento corto, la más común; segmento largo, segmento ultracorto y aganglionosis coli. Este trabajo, presenta una revisión de la etiopatogenia, las presentaciones clínicas más frecuentes, la utilidad de las distintas pruebas diagnósticas y las alternativas de tratamiento. Así mismo ofrecemos una revisión de las complicaciones y tratamiento y de las implicaciones psicosociales de la enfermedad de Hirschsprung
