Conductance properties of rough quantum wires with colored surface disorder
Effects of correlated disorder on wave localization have attracted
considerable interest. Motivated by the importance of studies of quantum
transport in rough nanowires, here we examine how colored surface roughness
impacts the conductance of two-dimensional quantum waveguides, using direct
scattering calculations based on the reaction matrix approach. The
computational results are analyzed in connection with a theoretical relation
between the localization length and the structure factor of correlated
disorder. We also examine and discuss several cases that have not been treated
theoretically or are beyond the validity regime of available theories. Results
indicate that conductance properties of quantum wires are controllable via

Lyapunov Spectra in SU(2) Lattice Gauge Theory
We develop a method for calculating the Lyapunov characteristic exponents of
lattice gauge theories. The complete Lyapunov spectrum of SU(2) gauge theory is
obtained and Kolmogorov-Sinai entropy is calculated. Rapid convergence with

Asymptotic behaviour of zeros of bieberbach polynomials
AbstractLet Ω be a simply-connected domain in the complex plane and let πn denote the nth-degree Bieberbach polynomial approximation to the conformal map f of Ω onto a disc. In this paper we investigate the asymptotic behaviour (as n→σ) of the zeros of πn, πn′ and also of the zeroes of certain closely related rational approximants to f. Our result show that, in each case, the distribution of the zeros is governed by the location of the singularities of the mapping function f in C⧹ω, and we present numerical examples illustrating this
Color homography
We show the surprising result that colors across a change in viewing
condition (changing light color, shading and camera) are related by a
homography. Our homography color correction application delivers improved color
