    Latency for patients with presumed low grade glioma tested with Boston Naming Test

    Syftet med detta examensarbete var att mĂ€ta och analysera svarstid pĂ„ bildbenĂ€mningstestet Boston Naming Test (BNT). En patientgrupp bestĂ„ende av 23 deltagare med förmodade lĂ„ggradiga gliom (LGG) samt en referensgrupp med 103 deltagare genomförde en BNT-testning och svarstiden för varje bild mĂ€ttes. Gruppernas resultat jĂ€mfördes för tre svarstidsmĂ„tt samt antal korrekta svar. Patienterna med förmodade LGG testades bĂ„de före operation och tre mĂ„nader efter operation. Resultatet kunde inte pĂ„visa nĂ„gra signifikanta skillnader i svarstid eller antal korrekta svar i patientgruppen före och efter operation. Patientgruppen skiljde sig inte heller signifikant frĂ„n den Ă„ldersstratifierade kontrollgruppen för varken antal korrekta svar eller nĂ„got av svarstidsmĂ„tten. Patientgruppen var heterogen och resultaten skiljde sig mycket deltagarna emellan.The aim with this study was to measure and analyze latency time for participants tested with the picture-naming test Boston Naming Test. A group of 23 patients with presumed low grade gliomas (LGG) and a reference group of 103 participants were tested and compared. The groups results were compared and measured for three latency measurements and accuracy. The patients with presumed LGG were tested before and three months after tumor resection. There were no significant differences between the control group and the patients with presumed LGG for either picture-naming latency or accuracy. When comparing the patients before and after surgery there were no significant differences for any of the measurements.
