The article is aimed at studying the conflict between liberal and religious values in the Dagestani media discourse. The socio-political prerequisites for the emergence of the conflicting discursive practice are identified; concepts and strategies of cultural polemics, linguistic methods of constructing religious or political value systems, methods of constructing opportunistic images and ethically marked simulacra are analyzed. The empirical base of the study is over 100 publication from federal and regional media. The selection was determined by the keywords and thematic relevance. The content analysis showed that factual information, characters and cited comments were often repeated. Further, the content of ten publications from federal and ten from regional media was studied. The publications selected for the analysis use a wide variety of methods to construct conflict-generating situations, have a significant number of quoted comments and the maximum depth of the characters' discursive confrontation. The publications were analyzed according to the critical discourse analysis model. As a result of the study, the directions and consequences of the development of a conflict-generating media discourse were determined. In the publications of the federal media, the discursive conflict forms a stable sphere of concepts, generates relevant emotions and types of communication. Supporters of conservative norms refer to the totalitarian ethical discourse, in which the propaganda orientation, manipulative communication strategies, the suggestive format of communicative interaction play the role of discourse markers. Journalistic comments present an objective analysis of the situation, often with the use of irony. Irony-caused transformations of concepts lead to increased verbal aggression, enhance the discursive conflict and equalize opponents in their attempt to promote their point of view. The hypertext shell of the publications exacerbates the conflict by context inclusion. As a result, a simulacrum of a national community is formed in the discourse, as opposed to civilizational and world integration cultural processes. In the regional segment, two logics of the discursive conflict development are distinguished; they are based on two different strategies. The strategy of carnivalization changes value-based and cultural orientations, devalues personal freedom, and hinders the development of cultural integration. The purport of this strategy is the ideologization of religious values, their subordination to political force. The mythologization strategy creates a sacred space within media discourse; this space is necessary for the formation of a religiously conditioned worldview. Domestic Violence as a Pandemic Challenge: Forms of Representing Crisis Problems in the Feminist Telegram Channel (on the Example of the Β«Womenβs PowerΒ» Channel)
Pandemic restrictions have intensified public discussion related to domestic violence, conditioned and actualized research interest in the problem. The object of this study was the feminist telegram channel, the subject was the forms of authorβs media activity. The content analysis of the channel, as well as the analysis of the structural, thematic, communicative characteristics of the posts made it possible to draw the following conclusions. The debate about unacceptable forms of interpersonal relationships is developing in several directions. The work results in a classification of topics and forms of representation, highlighting the most extraordinary approaches

The aggravation of political relations between the collective West and Russia actualises the concept of βcold warβ which entered the lexicon of the Soviet media after the end of World War II and is being increasingly used by journalists to characterise what is happening today. The methodology of structural and thematic analysis employed to study the practices of functioning of the ideologeme βcold warβ, as well as elements of content analysis make it possible to identify and characterise the features of the use of this ideologeme in modern Russian political media texts. What makes this study original is the approach the authors use to substantiate the conclusions of the article comparing the journalistic practices of using the ideologeme βcold warβ in two historical periods: Soviet and Russian (from 2014 to the present). The theoretical basis of the article is the research of renowned Russian scholars, and the analysis is based on the development of the topic in papers on philology. The empirical basis formed for the article includes more than 500 publications of the Soviet and Russian media from Sovetskaya Rossiya, Nezavisimaya Gazeta, Vedomosti, Trud, Novaya Gazeta, Krasnaya Zvezda, Izvestia, Komsomolskaya Pravda, Pravda, and REGNUM news agency which contain the βcold warβ ideologeme. As a result of the study, the authors demonstrate the differences in the practice of applying the ideologeme and the conditionality of these differences. They establish that the Soviet stage of the use of the ideologeme βcold warβ is representative, while the Russian stage significantly expands and changes its functional possibilities

Most of the publications enable the reader to be fully immersed into the universe of games and game mechanics. However, in some publications the problems of literary precedents are actualized. The process of literary images application, as well as the ideas, plots, and cultural codes in the creation of game related analytical materials is explored. The possibilities of emotional interaction with the reader referring to the game publication, the impact of literary texts on the formation of the emotional background of the publications are studied
