L’editoria
scientifica tradizionale non sempre riesce a soddisfare in modo efficace i
nuovi bisogni e le aspettative dei ricercatori. Iniziative come AlmaDL Journals
The article illustrates the Open Access e-publishing services supporting
scientific peer reviewed journals set up at the Universities of Bologna and Turin.
Digital technologies and the Internet have deeply changed the way researchers
and scholars access and share information. Traditional scientific publishers do
not always succeed in meeting researchers’ needs and expectations. Initiatives
such as AlmaDL Journals and SIRIO@Unito seek to provide alternative models
based on high quality publishing platforms and added-value services, ensuring the traditional functions of scholarly communication and in particular
dissemination and research quality certification
