The Design and Implementation of a Business Plan for an Internet Service Company

    Get PDF
The lntrnet today consists of many networks that can transfer data via many routes over a vast network. Change in the telecommunication industry and the attractiveness of the lnternet as a distribution channel have resulted in an expansion of service furnished by content providers. This dynamic growth of services impacts the prices and profits of service providers and the customers\u27 net benefit. This project will focus on the study of the Internet Service Provider (ISP) industry. Information was gathered for the purpose of constructing a business plan for G-net. Research has indicated that an entrepreneur is one who manages, organizes and assumes the risk of a business. The owner of an lSP must be concerned with several factors: industry data, specific company data, financial data and marketing data. G-net\u27s business plan was developed by utilizing information from each of these areas. Upon completion of the G-net plan, critical questions were developed about the plan and submitted to two members of the Information Technology Industry for an evaluation of the plan\u27s effectiveness and format. The evaluators, Edwin Carter and Robert J. Henry, collectively concluded that the document is structured properly and would serve as an effective guide for the operation of the enterprise

The Influence of Intellectual Capital to Market Value with Return on Assets as Intervening Variable

This research using leverage as the control variable to measure the relationship between IC and ROA and IC – market value indirect relationship. IC was measured with VAICTM method; ROA was used as the measurement that represented profitability. The market value was measured with a price-to-book value (PBV) ratio. The research was conducted on 215 companies in Indonesia Stock Exchange as samples in 2014 from six industry sectors those included in high-IC intensive classification by GICS. Analysis descriptive method was used on secondary data. MS Excel and EViews were used to process the data. F-test and t-test were used to test the hypothesis on 5%-significance. The results showed that IC influences ROA significantly; simultaneously and partially. IC also influences market value directly and indirectly through ROA, though the indirect influence is greater

Orbital disorder induced by charge fluctuations in vanadium spinels

Motivated by recent experiments on vanadium spinels, AAV2_2O4_4, that show an increasing degree of electronic delocalization for smaller cation sizes, we study the evolution of orbital ordering (OO) between the strong and intermediate-coupling regimes of a multi-orbital Hubbard Hamiltonian. The underlying magnetic ordering of the Mott insulating state leads to a rapid suppression of OO due to enhanced charge fluctuations along ferromagnetic bonds. Orbital double-occupancy is rather low at the transition point indicating that the system is in the crossover region between strong and intermediate-coupling regimes when the orbital degrees of freedom become disordered

    Phenomenology of 10^32 Dark Sectors

We postulate an exact permutation symmetry acting on 10^32 Standard Model copies as the largest possible symmetry extension of the Standard Model. This setup automatically lowers the fundamental gravity cutoff down to TeV, and thus, accounts for the quantum stability of the weak scale. We study the phenomenology of this framework and show that below TeV energies the copies are well hidden, obeying all the existing observational bounds. Nevertheless, we identify a potential low energy window into the hidden world, the oscillation of the neutron into its dark copies. At the same time, proton decay can be suppressed by gauging the diagonal baryon number of the different copies. This framework offers an alternative approach to several particle physics questions. For example, we suggest a novel mechanism for generating naturally small neutrino masses that are suppressed by the number of neutrino species. The mirror copies of the Standard Model naturally house dark matter candidates. The general experimentally observable prediction of this scenario is an emergence of strong gravitational effects at the LHC. The low energy permutation symmetry powerfully constrains the form of this new gravitational physics and allows to make observational predictions, such as, production of micro black-holes with very peculiar properties.Comment: 36 pages. v2, note added on oscillation of neutral state, Refs. adde

Quasi-Monte Carlo sparse grid Galerkin finite element methods for linear elasticity equations with uncertainties

We explore a linear inhomogeneous elasticity equation with random Lam\'e parameters. The latter are parameterized by a countably infinite number of terms in separated expansions. The main aim of this work is to estimate expected values (considered as an infinite dimensional integral on the parametric space corresponding to the random coefficients) of linear functionals acting on the solution of the elasticity equation. To achieve this, the expansions of the random parameters are truncated, a high-order quasi-Monte Carlo (QMC) is combined with a sparse grid approach to approximate the high dimensional integral, and a Galerkin finite element method (FEM) is introduced to approximate the solution of the elasticity equation over the physical domain. The error estimates from (1) truncating the infinite expansion, (2) the Galerkin FEM, and (3) the QMC sparse grid quadrature rule are all studied. For this purpose, we show certain required regularity properties of the continuous solution with respect to both the parametric and physical variables. To achieve our theoretical regularity and convergence results, some reasonable assumptions on the expansions of the random coefficients are imposed. Finally, some numerical results are delivered

Pembenahan Permukiman Padat dan Kumuh dengan Menerapkan Konsep Labirin yang Berseni The Laci (The Labirynth Of Art At City)

Slums is a residential area with a shape that is not structured, not patterned (eg location of the house and the way irregular, unavailability of public facilities, infrastructure and clean water facilities, toilets) physical form is not feasible for example regularly flooded each year. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research method because it aims to reveal the facts, circumstances, phenomena, variables and circumstances are. Through literature review, the study interpret the state of slums in Cicadas and ends with a conclusion. Cicadas is one of the slums in the city of Bandung. Slums are caused by low socio-economic conditions that require them to build residential coincide and minimal public facilities. With the new problem arose the idea that The Labirynth of Art in order to fix Bandung Cicadas region that includes dense residential category and this slum. The concept of the labyrinth is a concept that has artistic value, with dense settlement infrastructure that resembles the labyrinth and inside there are many works of art. The goal is simply to fix without having to displace or move and give a good visual impression for the houses that lined and crammed in along the way. With conditions already Cicadas shaped like a maze of twists and turns, just enough to fix the condition of the house. After it is applied the concept of artistic with painting the walls of the wall street. Painting made creative as possible so that there is appeal for people to see and admire. The paintings are also useful for children in infancy as a lesson, so that children in slums not minimal knowledge. In order for this concept goes well, hopefully all parties such as governments, consultants, artists, architecture and citizens involved further increase cooperation in the form of participating in order to settlements as expected

    Physics of Trans-Planckian Gravity

We study the field theoretical description of a generic theory of gravity flowing to Einstein General Relativity in IR. We prove that, if ghost-free, in the weakly coupled regime such a theory can never become weaker than General Relativity. Using this fact, as a byproduct, we suggest that in a ghost-free theory of gravity trans-Planckian propagating quantum degrees of freedom cannot exist. The only physical meaning of a trans-Planckian pole is the one of a classical state (Black Hole) which is described by the light IR quantum degrees of freedom and gives exponentially-suppressed contributions to virtual processes. In this picture Einstein gravity is UV self-complete, although not Wilsonian, and sub-Planckian distances are unobservable in any healthy theory of gravity. We then finally show that this UV/IR correspondence puts a severe constraint on any attempt of conventional Wilsonian UV-completion of trans-Planckian gravity. Specifically, there is no well-defined energy domain in which gravity could become asymptotically weak or safe.Comment: 23 pages, 4 figures, v2: Paper reorganized to improve clarity; additional explanations and references added; version accepted for publication in Phys. Topology of Entanglement Evolution of Two Qubits

The dynamics of a two-qubit system is considered with the aim of a general categorization of the different ways in which entanglement can disappear in the course of the evolution, e.g., entanglement sudden death. The dynamics is described by the function ~n(t), where ~n is the 15-dimensional polarization vector. This representation is particularly useful because the components of ~n are direct physical observables, there is a meaningful notion of orthogonality, and the concurrence C can be computed for any point in the space. We analyze the topology of the space S of separable states (those having C = 0), and the often lower-dimensional linear dynamical subspace D that is characteristic of a specific physical model. This allows us to give a rigorous characterization of the four possible kinds of entanglement evolution. Which evolution is realized depends on the dimensionality of D and of D \cap S, the position of the asymptotic point of the evolution, and whether or not the evolution is "distance-Markovian", a notion we define. We give several examples to illustrate the general principles, and to give a method to compute critical points. We construct a model that shows all four behaviors.Comment: 15 pages, 11 figures, 2 tabl
