As more women are surviving breast cancer the focus is shifting on the side effects that may hinder their quality of life. The cardiovascular side effects of multimodality therapy such as radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy have been known for quite a long time. As we have come to know the mechanisms of action of these therapies we have had a chance to improve treatment through new methods or drugs thus limiting cardiac toxicity in breast cancer treatment
