© SGEM 2017. All Rights Reserved. The current hard-to-recover oil reserves in Russia stand for more than 60% of total recoverable oil resources. These kind of reservoirs with acceptable technical and economic indicators are extracted only by applying physicochemical recovery techniques. Thus, an important relevance is given to selection of most effective EOR technology, which is directed to decrease the residual oil saturation in rock formations. Various chemical reagents including composites based on water-soluble polymers are injected both in Russia and worldwide in order to maintain reservoir pressure and to increase the oil recovery factor. The water-soluble polymers decrease the mobility difference between displacing and displaced fluids, reducing fingering effects. At the result of late water breakthrough oil recovery increases. It is highly important to introduce the model of rock matrices in order to combine the known phenomenon of natural chromatographic separation in reservoir rocks, which is characterized by heterogeneity of permeable rocks. Accordingly, heavy crude oil are located in large pores, as well as in small pores concentrated hydrocarbons. Therefore, the amount of hydrocarbon content describes the hydrophobic parameters. In this study, we combined the composite polymers with polydisperse rocks like calcite and dolomite. The different experimental results gained from using various types of rock, which is due to pore morphology and molecular interactions of polymers with rock surfaces. New laboratory results of processes, which are carried on interphase of a system: fluid reservoir - mineral matrix, are discussed.

Objective: to reveal and investigate hormonal characteristics in women of childbearing age in juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME).Patients and methods. The concentrations of sex steroid and tropic hormones were analyzed in 48 women of childbearing age who suffered from JME and received monotherapy or bitherapy with antiepileptic drugs (AEDs) for more than a year. For comparison of their values, a control group included 15 healthy women who did not take AEDs. Results and discussion. 66.7% of the patients were found to have ovarian hormonal dysfunction characterized by a significant increase in the level of luteinizing hormone and testosterone in the follicular phase of the cycle and a decrease in that of progesterone in the luteal phase compared with the control group. The hormonal deviations were influenced by disease duration and age-related onset in JME. Generalized tonicclonic seizures concurrent with myoclonic ones, bitherapy, and disease onset before menarche and in the period of the menstrual cycle favored the  development of hormonal deviations to a greater extent than myoclonic seizures only, monotherapy, and disease onset after the establishment of the cycle. Valproates were most commonly used in the therapy of JME; however, there were no significant differences in the hormonal deficiencies when different chemical groups of AEDs were administered

This literature review reflects the current understanding of patient compliance as a general medical problem. The main psychosocial factors that improve or worsen compliance considered using examples of specific nosological forms. It shown that it is precisely in the satisfaction of the patient's motives that the key moment of the “doctor-patient” system consistency lies, without which it is impossible to build an adequate patient compliance to treatmentВ представленном литературном обзоре отражены современные представления о пациентском комплаенсе как общемедицинской проблеме.

Overexpression of AtCpNifS enhances selenium tolerance and accumulation in Arabidopsis

    Get PDF
Selenium (Se) is an essential element for many organisms but is toxic at higher levels. CpNifS is a chloroplastic NifS-like protein in Arabidopsis (Arabidopsis thaliana) that can catalyze the conversion of cysteine into alanine and elemental sulfur (S 0 ) and of selenocysteine into alanine and elemental Se (Se 0 ). We overexpressed CpNifS to investigate the effects on Se metabolism in plants. CpNifS overexpression significantly enhanced selenate tolerance (1.9-fold) and Se accumulation (2.2-fold). CpNifS overexpressors showed significantly reduced Se incorporation into protein, which may explain their higher Se tolerance. Also, sulfur accumulation was enhanced by approximately 30% in CpNifS overexpressors, both on media with and without selenate. Root transcriptome changes in response to selenate mimicked the effects observed under sulfur starvation. There were only a few transcriptome differences between CpNifS-overexpressing plants and wild type, besides the 25-to 40-fold increase in CpNifS levels. Judged from x-ray analysis of near edge spectrum, both CpNifS overexpressors and wild type accumulated mostly selenate (Se VI ). In conclusion, overexpression of this plant NifS-like protein had a pronounced effect on plant Se metabolism. The observed enhanced Se accumulation and tolerance of CpNifS overexpressors show promise for use in phytoremediation

Introduction. The standard of 1st line treatment of HER2+ metastatic breast cancer (mBC) is double blockade with trastuzumab and pertuzumab + taxane, 2nd line – Trastuzumab-emtazine. There are no standards for further treatment, as well as the optimal drug sequence. Expansion of the arsenal of therapeutic possibilities and the use of new combinations will certainly improve the results of treatment of this category of patients and increase their life expectancy.Aim. We sought to describe treatment patterns of  eribulin  and clinical outcomes of  metastatic HER2-positive breast cancer treated with eribulin  plus trastuzumab combination in  academic institutions and community oncology practices across the Russian Federation.Materials and methods. Patients treated with eribulin anytime between Jan, 2014 and Sep, 2019 with a diagnosis of MBC were identified by 23 providers from Russia. Providers retrospectively reviewed the health records and abstracted selected data points into an electronic case report form for each eligible patient.Results. 100 HER2-positive pts received eribulin in combination with trastuzumab. Median age was 55 (31–80) yrs and ECOG status 0–3. 67% pts had visceral metastases. Eribulin was administered as 1st and 2nd line to 23 (23%) pts, 3rd line to 31 (31%) pts, 4th line and later to 46 (46%). Median number of cycles was 5 (2–27). ORR was 12%, SD – 72%, SD > 6 months – 23%, PD – 16%. Clinical efficacy rate achieved in 35%. Median PFS was 5.07 months (95% CI 4.021–6.119). According to the ER-status the response to eribulin and trastuzumab was different. ORR was 18.8%, SD 72.9% in pts with ER-positive MBC (n = 48) and 5.8% and 71.2% respectively in ER-negative MBC (n = 52). Median PFS was 6.97 months (95% CI 3.924–10.016) in pts with ER-positive MBC and 4.67 months (95% CI 3.841–5.499) in ER-negative MBC (р = 0.3). The combination was well tolerated: dose reductions were required in 12% pts, withdrawal due to toxicity in 4% pts. The most common type of toxicity was hematological with neutropenia Gr III-IV in 14 (14%) pts. Peripheral neuropathy Gr III was observed in 5 (5%) pts. No cardiotoxicity was detected.Conclusions. This is the real-life data of clinical outcomes for patients receiving eribulin plus trastuzumab for HER2-positive MBC throughout the Russian Federation. Our experience with eribulin plus trastuzumab demonstrates that this combination may be a potential effective treatment option for HER-2 positive MBC patients

© 2019, Research Trend. All rights reserved. The authors built a linear model of accounts receivable multiple regression of agricultural enterprises depending on its financial performance. The authors used a sample of non-stationary time series with a deterministic trend from 2016 to 2018 quarterly. According to the Frisch–Waugh–Lovell theorem for regression construction, time series were reduced to a stationary form by including the trend component as an additional regressor. The study of the relationship of accounts receivable with financial indicators revealed that there is a close relationship between accounts receivable and sales revenue, accounts payable, and cash. The assumption about the relationship of receivables and cash assets of the company received a reasoned proof. The reliability of the results is confirmed by the "short"-"long" test, Durbin-Watson test, Wight test. The results of the empirical estimates confirmed the feasibility of practical use of this approach in the modeling of receivables of agricultural enterprises for the purpose of its forecast. Forecasting receivables will allow the company to stimulate sales by providing discounts or benefits in the form of deferred payment to optimize receivables. The authors note that the forecast will allow managing the amount of receivables by reducing the maturity of debt, reducing the share and amount of doubtful and overdue debts
