Das Charité Open Access Dashboard

The Charité Medical Library has developed the “Charité Open Access Dashboard” as part of the monitoring of open access (OA) publications and in the context of the Berlin open access strategy. The dashboard provides an overview of various aspects of OA publications including the centrally recorded publication costs. It aims at a differentiated understanding of OA and at increasing the cost awareness of authors. The data collected annually in the and databases are processed and visualized for the dashboard using R as programming language.The poster presents the Charité Open Access Dashboard and the background of its development and explains in detail four of the included diagrams
