Analysis of genetic variance, heritability and coefficient of genetic variance were carried out for seven characters of soybean mutant lines in M3 generation, which were conducted at CAIR-Field Station, Pasar Jumat, Jakarta. Results showed that the highest of heritability value about 85.50% was obtained for seed weight, and followed by number of pods, biomass of stem and shelpedpods, root/stem ratio, seed weight/ Zpods ratio, and the lowest heritability value was biomass of root around 26,83% Analysis of coefficient of genetic variance from seven characters of soybean mutants indicated value ranging from 10.00-39,50%.From the result of experiment can be concluded that gamma irradiation produced high genetic variability in M3 generation and contributed positively for crops improvement through breeding programm

    Get PDF
In this paper, the application of bicausal bond graphs for system design in electrical engineering is emphasized. In particular, it is shown how this approach is very useful for model inversion and parameter dimensioning. To illustrate these issues, a hybrid railway traction device is considered as a case study. The synthesis of a storage device (a supercapacitor) included in this system is then discussed

One field experiment had been conducted at Institute for Research and Agricultural Technology Evaluation at Taman Bogo FieldSta,to screen some Bradyhyzobium inoculants on soybean mutant lines developed for acid soil.Inoculants evaluated were single strain B-22,and its mixed inoculants (B-22+B37), (B-22 + G49), and (B-22+TAL 102) on two soybean mutant lines No.07 and 58,and cv.Wilis as check variety. Plant growth and N yield were determined at pod development (R4) and grain maturity (R8) stages. The effect of inoculation significantly influenced nodul-ation and N yield and tended to increase plant dry weight 25%.Mixed inoculant (B-22+B-37) showed good symbiotic compatibility with the three soybean genotypes tested, whereas inoculant(B- 22+G49) only showed good compatibility with mutant line No.58.Cultivar Wilis had broader symbiotic spectrum as compared to mutant line No. 07 and 58.The effect of plant genotypes, and its interaction with inoculants were significant on grain and N yield. It was observed that at pod development stage, the plant growth of mutant line No. 07 were slower than the other genotypes but it had better nutrient translocation rate to grain which resulted grain yield of cv. Wilis. The results showed that this mutant line could be developed for this area

Vegetatively propagated Chrysanthemum morifolium has been carried out by tissue culture.Explants derived from shoot-tip of three chrysant genotypes were used for the experiment. Shoot-tips taken from terminal branch and sterilized with 0.05% HgCb for 30 minutes and rinsed with distilled water three times.Shoot-tips were cultured on MS regeneration medium containing 1 mg/1 BAP and 0.02 mg/1 NAA.Shoot regeneration occurred 20 days after cultured.A number of tiny shoots were then transferred to fresh regeneration medium for 3 weeks and regenerated shoots were calculated. Results showed that plant genotypes had different response into plant regeneration. Genotype Ku-Ch had better response compared to other two genotypes which shown from number of plantlets produced by this genotype on the third sub-culture

Two greenhouse experiments had been conducted to study the effect of inoculation of some Azospirillum isolates on maize growth in sand culture and sterilized soil. In the first experiment some growth parameters were used, i.e., root length and root surface area, dry weight of root, shoot, and shoot length. Inoculation enhanced plant growth, as shown by increased of all plant growth parameters. Root length and root surface area were sensitive parameter and could be used for evaluating the effect of inoculation. The best plant perfomance achieved by inoculation with Azospirillum isolates Btl No. 8 and No. 11 and with the increase of plant biomass 24 and 53% over control, respectively. In the second experiment, six selected Azospirillum isolates were evaluated on growth, N uptake, and N contribution15 in maize plants. N isotope dilution method was used to measure the N contribution from fertilizer. Uninoculated control plants showed low dry weight and contribution from N fertilizer, 3.09 gram and 10.84%. Inoculation increased mineral nutrition expressed in higher N plant yield and N contribution from fertilizer. N plant yield ranging from 147 to 189 mg N as compared to 134 mg N in control plants. The high contribution of N fertilizer (13.21-14.35 %) achieved by inoculation with Azospirillum isolates No. 6, 7, 8, and RDCB Az

The Effectiveness of Rhizospheric Bacteria Mix Inoculant Associated with Maizein Latosol Lampuog Soil. Two greenhouse experiments were carried out to evaluate theeffectiveness of Plant Growth Promoting Rhizobacteria (PGPR) ino-culants on plant growthof maize. In the first experiments, eleven single isolates were screened for associationeffectiveness with maize. Inoculation improved plant perfomance by increasing roots, shootsand total plant dry weight. Five isolates with the increase of plant dry weight ranging from 27-47% over control were then selected for mixed inoculants. In the second experiment, tenmixed inoculants consisted of 3 single isolates were evaluated on plant growth, N plant yield, and N derived from fertilizer and contribution from fixation. The later parameter was.determined by "N method. Three mixed inoculants namely M5, M8, and M9 showed highereffectiveness with the increase of plant weight 27-29% over control. Plant N yield of plantsinoculated with those mixed inoculants were 176-194 mg N/pot as compared to 144 mg Nlpotin control plants. Lower '%eIx cess atom % in inoculated plants indicated some Ncontribution from fixation which ranged from 1 5 -2 1 %

Bond-graph-based model simplification for system analysis: application to a railway traction device

    No full text
Heterogeneous and multifield systems can be homogeneously modelled using bond graphs. Even if this formalism contributes to making the system analysis easier, simplifying the device modelling as much as possible is also required in order to obtain the ‘just accurate enough model’ with respect to the design objectives. Two simplification methods are investigated in this paper: the model order reduction algorithm (MORA), depending on the energetic transfers in the systems, and the singular perturbation method (SPM), based on element dynamics. Each method is directly applied on bond graphs. To illustrate their application, a railway traction device is considered as an example. The results obtained by both methods are compared and the conditions of use are analysed. Finally, these two processes have proved their efficiency to reduce the computation time and to simplify the system analysis
