Green branding effects on consumer response:examining a brand stereotype-based mechanism
Purpose This study aims to develop a comprehensive conceptual framework to investigate how green brand positioning strategies positively impact consumer response. It focusses on uncovering the causal mechanism in which such effect is mediated by brand stereotypes. Additionally, it outlines the moderating role of construal level in this formation process. Design/methodology/approach Three experimental studies were conducted to examine the hypotheses. Study 1 tests the positive influence of green brand positioning on consumer response. Study 2 tests the dual mediating effect of warmth and competence in the relationship between green brand positioning and consumer response. Study 3 further examines the moderating role of construal level in the effects of green brand positioning on brand stereotypes. Findings The findings reveal that green emotional positioning strategies are predominantly stereotyped as warm while green functional positioning strategies are predominantly stereotyped as competent. Both warm and competent mediate the effects of green brand positioning on consumer response. Furthermore, a congruency between green emotional positioning and high-level construal, as well as the match between green functional positioning and low-level construal, leads to more warmth and competence perception. Originality/value This study contributes to green brand management literature by proposing a brand stereotype-based mechanism to explain how green brand positioning strategies trigger consumers’ stereotyping process, leading to positive consumer response. This study also identifies the construal level as a moderating variable that impacts consumers’ warmth and competence perceptions towards two kinds of green brand positioning strategies. Managerially, the findings of this study provide managerial ideas for developing green branding strategies
Letter of Intent: Jinping Neutrino Experiment
Jinping Neutrino Experiment (Jinping) is proposed to significantly improve
measurements on solar neutrinos and geoneutrinos in China Jinping Laboratory -
a lab with a number of unparalleled features, thickest overburden, lowest
reactor neutrino background, etc., which identify it as the world-best
low-energy neutrino laboratory. The proposed experiment will have target mass
of 4 kilotons of liquid scintillator or water-based liquid scintillator, with a
fiducial mass of 2 kilotons for neutrino-electron scattering events and 3
kilotons for inverse-beta interaction events. A number of initial sensitivities
studies have been carried out, including on the transition phase for the solar
neutrinos oscillation from the vacuum to the matter effect, the discovery of
solar neutrinos from the carbon-nitrogen-oxygen (CNO) cycle, the resolution of
the high and low metallicity hypotheses, and the unambiguous separation on U
and Th cascade decays from the dominant crustal anti-electron neutrinos in

Abrupt elevation of tumor marker levels in a huge splenic epidermoid cyst, a case report
Epidermoid cyst of the spleen is a rare disease, and relatively few cases were reported by literatures. Most published case reports provided inadequate information on the impact of splenic epidermoid cyst on tumor markers. A 32-year-old woman with a giant splenic epidermoid cyst was reported, for whom the serum concentration of a collection of tumor markers (CA19–9, CEA, CA125, CA242, and CA50) increased abruptly accompanied by left upper abdominal pain for 5 days. After comprehensive preoperative examination and multidisciplinary team discussion, we ruled out any concurrent malignancy and a laparoscopic total splenectomy was performed, during which the splenic cyst spontaneously ruptured unexpectedly. After surgery, the elevated serum tumor marker levels decreased sharply until reaching normal range 3 months later. Learning from the case, we conclude that interval monitoring of serum tumor markers is of critical value for patients with splenic epidermoid cyst. Abrupt elevation of tumor marker levels and abdominal pain may serve as signs of cyst rupture, which is strongly indicative of surgical intervention as soon as possible. Total removal of the splenic cyst is strongly suggested considering the recurrence and malignant potential of the splenic epidermoid cyst
Check on the features of potted 20-inch PMTs with 1F3 electronics prototype at Pan-Asia
The Jiangmen underground neutrino observatory (JUNO) is a neutrino project
with a 20-kton liquid scintillator detector located at 700-m underground. The
large 20-inch PMTs are one of the crucial components of the JUNO experiment
aiming to precision neutrino measurements with better than 3% energy resolution
at 1 MeV. The excellent energy resolution and a large fiducial volume provide
many exciting opportunities for addressing important topics in neutrino and
astro-particle physics. With the container #D at JUNO Pan-Asia PMT testing and
potting station, the features of waterproof potted 20-inch PMTs were measured
with JUNO 1F3 electronics prototype in waveform and charge, which are valuable
for better understanding on the performance of the waterproof potted PMTs and
the JUNO 1F3 electronics. In this paper, basic features of JUNO 1F3 electronics
prototype run at Pan-Asia will be introduced, followed by an analysis of the
waterproof potted 20-inch PMTs and a comparison with the results from
commercial electronics used by the container #A and #B
Implementation and performances of the IPbus protocol for the JUNO Large-PMT readout electronics
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a large neutrino
detector currently under construction in China. Thanks to the tight
requirements on its optical and radio-purity properties, it will be able to
perform leading measurements detecting terrestrial and astrophysical neutrinos
in a wide energy range from tens of keV to hundreds of MeV. A key requirement
for the success of the experiment is an unprecedented 3% energy resolution,
guaranteed by its large active mass (20 kton) and the use of more than 20,000
20-inch photo-multiplier tubes (PMTs) acquired by high-speed, high-resolution
sampling electronics located very close to the PMTs. As the Front-End and
Read-Out electronics is expected to continuously run underwater for 30 years, a
reliable readout acquisition system capable of handling the timestamped data
stream coming from the Large-PMTs and permitting to simultaneously monitor and
operate remotely the inaccessible electronics had to be developed. In this
contribution, the firmware and hardware implementation of the IPbus based
readout protocol will be presented, together with the performances measured on
final modules during the mass production of the electronics
Mass testing of the JUNO experiment 20-inch PMTs readout electronics
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a multi-purpose,
large size, liquid scintillator experiment under construction in China. JUNO
will perform leading measurements detecting neutrinos from different sources
(reactor, terrestrial and astrophysical neutrinos) covering a wide energy range
(from 200 keV to several GeV). This paper focuses on the design and development
of a test protocol for the 20-inch PMT underwater readout electronics,
performed in parallel to the mass production line. In a time period of about
ten months, a total number of 6950 electronic boards were tested with an
acceptance yield of 99.1%
Validation and integration tests of the JUNO 20-inch PMTs readout electronics
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a large neutrino
detector currently under construction in China. JUNO will be able to study the
neutrino mass ordering and to perform leading measurements detecting
terrestrial and astrophysical neutrinos in a wide energy range, spanning from
200 keV to several GeV. Given the ambitious physics goals of JUNO, the
electronic system has to meet specific tight requirements, and a thorough
characterization is required. The present paper describes the tests performed
