Asymptotic analysis and spectrum of three anyons

The spectrum of anyons confined in harmonic oscillator potential shows both linear and nonlinear dependence on the statistical parameter. While the existence of exact linear solutions have been shown analytically, the nonlinear dependence has been arrived at by numerical and/or perturbative methods. We develop a method which shows the possibility of nonlinearly interpolating spectrum. To be specific we analyse the eigenvalue equation in various asymptotic regions for the three anyon problem.Comment: 28 pages, LaTeX, 2 Figure

Background: The excellent method for treating fractures of the tibial shaft was the closed intramedullary nailing technique. But because of limited references related to the results, incidence of infection, non-union of open injury. Hence, it was decided to analyse open tibial fractures treatment by primary interlocking nailing. Methods: 50 Patients with open fractures of the tibial shaft which were treated with primary interlocking nail were studied in the period of 14 months. Results: In present study 18 (36%) type I, 22 (44%) type II and 10 (20%) type IIIA Gustilo open fractures were treated. The average duration of time between injury and nailing was 3.5 hours (range was 1.5 hours to 4 hours). After reaming, 40 (80%) fractures were fixed, without reaming, 10 (20%) of fractures were fixed. The average time to union was 27 weeks for type I fractures, 30 weeks for type II fractures and 33 weeks for type IIIA fractures. There was 1 non-union. There were 4 deep infections. Conclusions: The best mode of therapy was primary interlocking intramedullary nailing for open fractures

Duration of analgesia, sensory and motor blockade and intra operative hemodynamic changes caused by intrathecal bupivacaine, bupivacaine plus clonidine and bupivacaine plus dexmedetomidine in spinal anesthesia: prospective, comparative study

Background: This is comparative study to differentiate the effects of Dexmedetomidine and clonidine on duration of analgesia, motor and sensory blockade and the intraoperative hemodynamic profile when mixed with Bupivacaine. Methods: Patients aged 15-45 years having ASA 1 and ASA 2 scheduled for elective orthopedic surgeries under spinal anaesthesia were included and divided into 3 groups equally (50 patients each)’ i.e. Group B received only 3.0 ml of 0.5% Bupivacaine (Heavy); Group C received 3.0ml of 0.5% Bupivacaine (Heavy) mixed with Clonidine 30 µg; and Group D administered with 3.0 ml of 0.5% Bupivacaine (Heavy) mixed with 5µg Dexmedetomidine. Results: Majority of the cases enrolled in the study were knee disorders and the rest being fracture femur, tibia. At preoperative interval mean systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure of Group B was slightly higher than Group C and Group D. At the time when spinal anaesthesia was given, a slight fall in DBP of patients was observed in all Group B, Group C and Group D. Mean heart rate of patients at preoperative interval in patients of Group B, Group C and Group D respectively, with Group C and Group D showing slightly lower mean heart rate as compared with that of the mean heart rate of Group B but the values were not statistically significant. There were no any significant changes in the hemodynamic status. Conclusions: Both of used combinations provide prolonged sensory and motor blockade, hemodynamic stability, minimal side effects, and excellent intraoperative and postoperative analgesia

A comparative study of the consistent and simplified finite element analyses of Eigenvalue, problems

Classical displacement method of the finite element analysis of eigenvalue problems requires the use of consistent and conforming elements. However, simpler approaches based on relaxing the condition of consistency of the element descriptions, such as lumped inertia force method and others are also found to yield satisfactory results. In this paper we make a comparative study of the consistent and simplified approaches with reference to four representative problems. In the simplified approach studied in this paper, the contribution of straining modes in the derivation of the mass and geometric stiffness matrices is neglected and this simplifies their derivation substantially. The results indicate that this simplification introduces only small errors in the eigenvalues

ANTI INFLAMMATORY ACTIVITY OF ERYTHRINA VARIEGATA

Objective: Erythrina variegata had been widely used for its reported biological activity in indigenous system of medicine. The present investigation was carried out to find the anti-inflammatory effect of ethanolic extract of Erythrina variegata in albino rats. Methods: The anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated using acute inflammatory model like carrageenan induced paw edema and chronic inflammatory model like cotton pellet induced granuloma respectively. Results: The ethanolic extract in different doses (200, and 400mg/kg, p. o) exhibited dose dependent and significant antiinflammatory activity in acute and chronic model of inflammation. Conclusion: The alcoholic extract of Erythrina variegata has anti-inflammatory activity. This activity was related to the dose and these results corroborate the potential traditional use of the plant in folk medicine

Review of Contemporary Literature on Machine Learning based Malware Analysis and Detection Strategies

Abstract: malicious software also known as malware are the critical security threat experienced by the current ear of internet and computer system users. The malwares can morph to access or control the system level operations in multiple dimensions. The traditional malware detection strategies detects by signatures, which are not capable to notify the unknown malwares. The machine learning models learns from the behavioral patterns of the existing malwares and attempts to notify the malwares with similar behavioral patterns, hence these strategies often succeeds to notify even about unknown malwares. This manuscript explored the detailed review of machine learning based malware detection strategies found in contemporary literature
