Topological phase due to electric dipole moment and magnetic monopole interaction
We show that there is an anologous Aharonov-Casher effect on a neutral
particle with electric dipole moment interacting with a magnetic filed produced
by magnetic monopoles.Comment: 8 page
Two-body scattering in a trap and a special periodic phenomenon sensitive to the interaction
Two-body scattering of neutral particles in a trap is studied theoretically.
The control of the initial state is realized by using optical traps. The
collisions inside the trap occur repeatedly; thereby the effect of interaction
can be accumulated. Two periodic phenomena with a shorter and a much longer
period, respectively, are found. The latter is sensitive to the interaction.
Instead of measuring the differential cross section as usually does, the
measurement of the longer period and the details of the periodic behavior might
be a valid source of information on weak interactions among neutral particles.Comment: 5 pages, 5 figure
in the Standard Model
In this paper we investigate the possibility of studying form
factor using the semi-inclusive decays . In general
semi-inclusive decays involve several hadronic parameters. But for
decays we find that in the factorization
approximation, the only unknown hadronic parameters are the form factors
. Therefore these form factors can be studied in decays. Using theoretical model calculations for the form
factors the branching ratios for and
, with the cut GeV, are
estimated to be in the ranges of and ,
respectively, depending on the value of . The combined branching ratio
for is about and is insensitive to . We also discuss CP
asymmetries in these decay modes.Comment: RevTex 8 pages and two figure
