On gauge-invariant Green function in 2+1 dimensional QED

Both the gauge-invariant fermion Green function and gauge-dependent conventional Green function in 2+1 2+1 dimensional QED are studied in the large N N limit. In temporal gauge, the infra-red divergence of gauge-dependent Green function is found to be regulariable, the anomalous dimension is found to be η=643π2N \eta= \frac{64}{3 \pi^{2} N} . This anomalous dimension was argued to be the same as that of gauge-invariant Green function. However, in Coulomb gauge, the infra-red divergence of the gauge-dependent Green function is found to be un-regulariable, anomalous dimension is even not defined, but the infra-red divergence is shown to be cancelled in any gauge-invariant physical quantities. The gauge-invariant Green function is also studied directly in Lorentz covariant gauge and the anomalous dimension is found to be the same as that calculated in temporal gauge.Comment: 8 pages, 6 figures, to appear in Phys. Gauge-invariant Green function in 3+1 dimensional QED (QCD) and 2+1 dimensional Abelian (Non-Abelian) Chern-Simon theory

By applying the simple and effective method developed to study the the gauge-invariant fermion Green function in 2+1 2+1 dimensional non-compact QED, we study the gauge-invariant Green function in 3+1 3+1 dimensional QED and 2+1 2+1 dimensional non-compact Chern-Simon theory. We also extend our results to the corresponding SU(M) SU(M) non-Abelian gauge theories. Implications for Fractional Quantum Hall effect are briefly discussed.Comment: 8 pages, 4 figures, published versio

Fluctuations of Xmax and Primary Particle Mass Composition in the Range of Energy 5 10^{17} - 3 10^{19} ev by Yakutsk Data

The experimental distributions of \Xmax obtained with the Yakutsk EAS array at fixed energies of 5×10175 \times10^{17}, 1×10181\times10^{18} and 5×10185\times10^{18} eV are analysed. A recent version of the QGSJET model is used as a tool of our analysis. In the framework of this model, the most adequate mass composition of primary particles satisfying the experimental data on \Xmax is selected.Comment: 19th European Cosmic Ray Symposium, Aug 30 - Sep 3 2004, Florence, Italy. 3 pages, 1 figure. Superintegrability on the two dimensional hyperboloid II

This work is devoted to the investigation of the quantum mechanical systems on the two dimensional hyperboloid which admit separation of variables in at least two coordinate systems. Here we consider two potentials introduced in a paper of C.P.Boyer, E.G.Kalnins and P.Winternitz, which haven't yet been studied. We give an example of an interbasis expansion and work out the structure of the quadratic algebra generated by the integrals of motion.Comment: 18 pages, LaTex; 1 figure (eps

Influence of Glutargin on Functional State of the Liver in Patients with Chronic Heart Failure

104 patients (60 males and 54 females) with stage II-III arterial hypertension (AH) and chronic heart failure (CHF) were examined to study the effects of complex treatment with glutargin on the functional state of the liver in patients with CHF. Among patients there were 45 patients with stage IIA CHF NYHA FC III and 59 patients with stage IIB CHF NYHA FC IV. All the patients were divided depending on treatment: Group IA included 33 patients with AH complicated by stage IIA CHF; Group IIA included 12 patients with AH and stage IIB CHF who received basic therapy. Groups IA and IIA were the comparison groups. Group IB consisted of 39 patients with AH and stage IIA CHF, and Group IIB consisted of 20 patients with AH and stage IIB CHF, who, in addition to basic therapy, received arginine glutamate. The control group included 20 practically healthy persons. Standard clinical, ultrasound and biochemical investigations were performed. The results revealed that the inclusion of glutargin in treatment of patients with AH and CHF improves overall liver function reducing the degree of cytolytic and cholestatic syndromes and improving detoxification and protein-synthesizing functions of hepatocytes

Single crystal MgB2 with anisotropic superconducting properties

The discovery of superconductor in magnesium diboride MgB2 with high Tc (39 K) has raised some challenging issues; whether this new superconductor resembles a high temperature cuprate superconductor(HTS) or a low temperature metallic superconductor; which superconducting mechanism, a phonon- mediated BCS or a hole superconducting mechanism or other new exotic mechanism may account for this superconductivity; and how about its future for applications. In order to clarify the above questions, experiments using the single crystal sample are urgently required. Here we have first succeeded in obtaining the single crystal of this new MgB2 superconductivity, and performed its electrical resistance and magnetization measurements. Their experiments show that the electronic and magnetic properties depend on the crystallographic direction. Our results indicate that the single crystal MgB2 superconductor shows anisotropic superconducting properties and thus can provide scientific basis for the research of its superconducting mechanism and its applications.Comment: 7 pages pdf fil
