Hadronic contribution to the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon
I will present the status and the prospects of the leading-order hadronic contribution to the muon g − 2, with particular emphasis on the recent achievements on the hadronic cross section measurements at low energy
A new approach to evaluate the leading hadronic corrections to the muon g-2
We propose a novel approach to determine the leading hadronic corrections to
the muon g-2. It consists in a measurement of the effective electromagnetic
coupling in the space-like region extracted from Bhabha scattering data. We
argue that this new method may become feasible at flavor factories, resulting
in an alternative determination potentially competitive with the accuracy of
the present results obtained with the dispersive approach via time-like data.Comment: 7 pages, 3 figures. Version accepted for publication in Phys. Lett.
Migration and Settlement in Italy
This paper examines synthetically the demographic evolution of Italy from 1900 until 1975. It is concerned with the analysis of fertility, mortality and internal migration patterns in the twenty regions which constitute the territorial administrative disaggregation of the Italian Republic. The paper is part of IIASA's comparative study of migration and settlement patterns in its member nations
APEX: A Prime EXperiment at Jefferson Lab
APEX is an experiment at Thomas Jefferson National Accelerator Facility
(JLab) in Virginia, USA, that searches for a new gauge boson () with
sub-GeV mass and coupling to ordinary matter of . Electrons impinge upon a fixed target of high-Z material. An
is produced via a process analogous to photon bremsstrahlung,
decaying to an pair. A test run was held in July of 2010, covering
= 175 to 250 MeV and couplings g^\prime/e \; \textgreater \;
10^{-3}. A full run is approved and will cover 65 to 525
MeV and g^\prime/e \; \textgreater \; 2.3 \times10^{-4}.Comment: Contributed to the 8th Patras Workshop on Axions, WIMPs and WISPs,
