The article presents the reservoir properties of carbonate rocks by analyzing the factors that characterize the filtration cell reservoir rocks: reservoir quality index, free fluid index, flow zone indicator. These factors are usually used for clastic reservoirs in order to isolate the flow units - rock volume has certain geological and petrophysical properties, as well as a unified hydraulics. It was believed that such a definition for the carbonate rocks is problematic. However, studies have shown the possibility of allocating the flow units in the carbonate deposits subject to the provision of good reservoir rocks and determination of litho-genetic type of carbonate rocks. For the analysis considered several litho-genetic types. It was found that the best collectors are limestone bioclastic-zoogene type. The coefficients revealed the Flow Units in all productive carbonate deposits considered deposits. Allocation of volumes of rocks possessing common hydraulics allows more correctly carry out operational activities

© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. This paper discusses the problem of how to integrate natural-science, humanist and special technical knowledge in professional university-level training of transport specialists being a rapidly developing sophisticated system. This engages current science concepts of self-organization and self-development of sophisticated natural and man-made systems

Changes of photosynthesis and carbon metabolism in Typha angustifolia L grown in conditions of nitrate nitrogen overload

Nitrates may induce alterations in NO-signaling system and change photosynthesisin plants. Significant reduction of 14CO2 fixation was noted at concentration of 3.96mM NaNO3 in an aquatic macrophyte (Typha angustifolia L.). Assimilation of 14CO2 seven days after the introduction of nitrates did not differ between control and experimental samples. There were changes in distribution of 14C among products of 4CO2 fixation 4 h after NaNO3 addition, resulting in increased sugar radioactivity in experimental plants. It was suggested that the observed changes may have regulatory importance

Virus-Induced Gene Silencing as a Tool for Comparative Functional Studies in Thalictrum

Perennial woodland herbs in the genus Thalictrum exhibit high diversity of floral morphology, including four breeding and two pollination systems. Their phylogenetic position, in the early-diverging eudicots, makes them especially suitable for exploring the evolution of floral traits and the fate of gene paralogs that may have shaped the radiation of the eudicots. A current limitation in evolution of plant development studies is the lack of genetic tools for conducting functional assays in key taxa spanning the angiosperm phylogeny. We first show that virus-induced gene silencing (VIGS) of a PHYTOENE DESATURASE ortholog (TdPDS) can be achieved in Thalictrum dioicum with an efficiency of 42% and a survival rate of 97%, using tobacco rattle virus (TRV) vectors. The photobleached leaf phenotype of silenced plants significantly correlates with the down-regulation of endogenous TdPDS (P<0.05), as compared to controls. Floral silencing of PDS was achieved in the faster flowering spring ephemeral T. thalictroides. In its close relative, T. clavatum, silencing of the floral MADS box gene AGAMOUS (AG) resulted in strong homeotic conversions of floral organs. In conclusion, we set forth our optimized protocol for VIGS by vacuum-infiltration of Thalictrum seedlings or dormant tubers as a reference for the research community. The three species reported here span the range of floral morphologies and pollination syndromes present in Thalictrum. The evidence presented on floral silencing of orthologs of the marker gene PDS and the floral homeotic gene AG will enable a comparative approach to the study of the evolution of flower development in this group

Objective: to propose optimal variants of solving the key issues health care of reforming while researching the level of the medical services consumers’ satisfaction taking into account the opinions of the sector’s personnel. Methods: systemic-logical analysis. Scientific novelty: The necessity is proved to develop and deepen the adaptation of tools and methods of quality management for the development of health care sphere in accordance with its specific characteristics, the classification of internal environment factors on the process of its development strategic planning is elaborated. Practical value: Using the research results when elaborating the strategy of medical establishments development planning. Results: The problems of increasing medical aid quality are viewed with the account of consumers’ requirements in the context of health care system reforming under the modern conditions of competition. The significance is shown of introducing the quality management system in medical establishments as an efficient tool of constant development and improving. The demand for using the Lean Production technique is proved from the point of view of production processes optimization, consumer orientation and increasing quality through reducing costs

The issues of efficiency evaluation of the education system financial mechanism are very important nowadays. The main criterion of financial efficiency for the market subjects is the ability for extensive reproduction of financial resources, which constitute the material base of the state functioning. At the same time the educational sphere still does not have clear indicators of financial mechanism, and the article strives to define them
