On expressive power of basic modal intuitionistic logic as a fragment of classical FOL

The modal characterization theorem by J. van Benthem characterizes classical modal logic as the bisimulation invariant fragment of first-order logic. In this paper, we prove a similar characterization theorem for intuitionistic modal logic. For this purpose we introduce the notion of modal asimulation as an analogue of bisimulations. The paper treats four different fragments of first-order logic induced by their respective versions of Kripke-style semantics for modal intuitionistic logic. It is shown further that this characterization can be easily carried over to arbitrary first-order definable subclasses of classical first-order models. © 2016 Elsevier B.V

A Lindström theorem in many-valued modal logic over a finite MTL-chain

We consider a modal language over crisp frames and formulas evaluated on a finite MTL-chain (a linearly ordered commutative integral residuated lattice). We first show that the basic modal abstract logic with constants for the values of the MTL-chain is the maximal abstract logic satisfying Compactness, the Tarski Union Property and strong invariance for bisimulations. Cut-free Calculi and Relational Semantics for Temporal STIT Logics

We present cut-free labelled sequent calculi for a central formalism in logics of agency: STIT logics with temporal operators. These include sequent systems for Ldm , Tstit and Xstit. All calculi presented possess essential structural properties such as contraction- and cut-admissibility. The labelled calculi G3Ldm and G3Tstit are shown sound and complete relative to irreflexive temporal frames. Additionally, we extend current results by showing that also Xstit can be characterized through relational frames, omitting the use of BT+AC frames

Reference to Actions as the Basis for Reference to Objects

Статья посвящена формализации ранее предложенного автором решения для задачи Крипке о веровании. Формализация проводится на основе ранее сформулированной автором теории действий Δ, а точнее на основе расширения Δ(N) этой теории, которое определяется в настоящей статье. Автор показывает, что помимо решения для задачи Крипке Δ(N) может послужить средством для анализа актуальных понятий философской прагмасемантики, например для дистинкции между различными видами истинностных условий акта высказывания.The paper deals with the formalization of the solution to the Kripke’s puzzle about belief that was earlier proposed by the author. The formalization is based on the author’s own theory of actions D, or, more precisely, in a specific extension D(N) of this theory, which is defined in this paper. Towards new ontological presuppositions for logic of actions: analysis of L0

The article states that the traditional system of ontological presuppositions employed in the logical analysis of actions is inadequate, and sets forth a principle for constructing a new system, hopefully more adequate and natural. Then a simple logic of action modeled in the spirit of this new principle is defined and investigated. The degree of its conformity to the new ontological principles is discussed in the concluding paragraphs of the article.В статье констатируется неадекватность традиционной системы онтологических предпосылок логики действия и выдвигается общий принцип конструкции новой, в перспективе более адекватной и естественной, системы. Рассматривается вариант простейшей логики действия, сконструированной в духе выдвинутых принципов.
