    Windmill Power Generation Using Mult-Generator and Single Rotor (Horizontal and Vertical Blade)

    Wind energy is the environmental pollution free, hazardless and one of the best renewable energy for generation of electric power. The main aim of the paper is “to produce current using multi generator and single rotor”. This paper proposes multi-generator to address potential challenges: dimension, cost and reliability. The two electromagnetic induction generators are desired to share the single shaft through straight bevel gears. These poles of the two generators will be changed as alternate to parallel. This paper discussed about the design procedure of gears, gear life and wind turbine rotors. The output current is stored in series of battery to appliances through converter and step up transformer.     Acetic Acid based dressings on Pseudomonas Aeruginosa infected Diabetic Ulcers: A Randomized Controlled study

    AIM OF THE STUDY: To analyze the effect of 3% acetic acid dressings in eradication of Pseudomonas aeruginosa in comparison with conventional saline dressings in diabetic foot ulcers. OBJECTIVE : To study the effect of 3% acetic acid dressings on Pseudomonas aeruginosa infected diabetic foot ulcers METHODOLOGY: 80 diabetic patients with foot ulcers from the department of general surgery, general medicine, nephrology and cardiology were studied. Detailed clinical history, evaluation of the ulcer and presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa were assessed. These patients were randomized by simple randomization technique into two groups of 40 patients each. One group received acetic acid dressings and the other group received conventional saline dressings. The elimination of Pseudomonas aeruginosa was studied in both groups by assessing the culture reports from day 10. The results were tabulated. RESULTS: A better response towards elimination of the pathogen was seen with acetic acid dressings in comparison with conventional saline dressings. The limitations included small sample size. CONCLUSION: Acetic acid dressings in 3% concentrations, help in better loco regional control by elimination of Pseudomonas aeruginosa by lowering the pH and removal of biofilms when compared with conventional saline dressings. It is easily available and is an economic alternative to individuals affected

    Traumatic pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporal artery

    Pseudoaneurysm is deficit of all the 3 layers of the blood vessel. Superficial temporal artery due to its course is more prone for traumaand 95% of the pseudoaneurysm of the superficial artery is due to trauma. Here, we report the case of a traumatic pseudoaneurysm ofthe superficial temporal artery in a 19-year-old patient. The patient came with the complaints of swelling in the left side of the foreheadfor 3days and a history of trauma 3 days back by a cricket ball. A duplex scan showed a pseudoaneurysm of the superficial temporalartery. Surgical excision of the aneurysm was done after ligating proximal and distal pedicles. Digital subtraction angiography is thegold standard investigation, but duplex would be enough in most of the cases for diagnosingand surgical excision after ligating theproximal and distal pedicles is the treatment of choice

    Quantitative Mapping of Endosomal DNA Processing by Single Molecule Counting

    Extracellular DNA is engulfed by innate immune cells and digested by endosomal DNase II to generate an immune response. Quantitative information on endosomal stage‐specific cargo processing is a critical parameter to predict and model the innate immune response. Biochemical assays quantify endosomal processing but lack organelle‐specific information, while fluorescence microscopy has provided the latter without the former. Herein, we report a single molecule counting method based on fluorescence imaging that quantitatively maps endosomal processing of cargo DNA in innate immune cells with organelle‐specific resolution. Our studies reveal that endosomal DNA degradation occurs mainly in lysosomes and is negligible in late endosomes. This method can be used to study cargo processing in diverse endocytic pathways and measure stage‐specific activity of processing factors in endosomes.Eine bildgebende Fluoreszenzmethode zur quantitativen Kartierung der endosomalen Prozessierung von Fracht‐DNA in Zellen des angeborenen Immunsystems mit Organellen‐spezifischer Auflösung (organellar single‐molecule, high‐resolution localization and counting; oSHiRLoC) wurde entwickelt.     Blue-emitting acridine-tagged silver(i)-bis-N-heterocyclic carbene

    Herein, the photophysical properties of an acridine derivative of a bis-N-heterocyclic carbene silver complex were investigated. The HOMO and LUMO energy differences between 9-[(N-methyl imidazol-2-ylidene)]acridine and 4,5-bis[(N-methyl-imidazol-2-ylidene)methyl]acridine were theoretically compared. Based on the calculation, the 4,5-bis N-heterocyclic carbene-tethered acridine type of ligand was found to be a potential source for tuning the fluorescent nature of the resultant metal derivatives. Thus, a 4,5-bis N-heterocyclic carbene (NHC)-tethered acridine silver(I) salt was synthesized, and its photophysical properties were investigated. The 4,5-bis[(N-isopropylimidazol-2-ylidene)methyl]acridine silver(I) hexafluorophosphate complex was obtained from the reaction between [4,5-bis{(N-isopropylimidazolium)methyl}acridine] hexafluorophosphate and Ag2O in very good yield; this molecule was characterized by elemental analysis and FTIR, multinuclear (1H and 13C) NMR, UV-Vis, and fluorescence spectroscopic techniques. The molecular structure has been confirmed by single-crystal X-ray diffraction analysis, which has revealed that the complex is a homoleptic mononuclear silver(I) cationic solid. The charge of the Ag(I)–NHC cation is balanced by the hexafluorophosphate anion. The cationic moieties are closely packed in the chair and inverted chair forms where silver(I) possesses a quasi-linear geometry. Moreover, the silver complex provided blue emission from all the three excitations with good fluorescence quantum yield. The fluorescence lifetime of the silver(I) complex has been determined using the time-correlated single photon counting technique. Interestingly, the fluorescence decay pattern and the fluorescence lifetimes of the silver complex are largely different from those of the parent ligand acridine imidazolium salt. Moreover, the theoretical predictions have been found to be in good agreement with the experimental results

    In the title complex, [Re2(C6H5Te)2(C11H9N)(CO)7], two Re atoms are coordinated in slightly distorted octa­hedral coordination environments and are bridged by two Te atoms, which are coordinated in trigonal-pyramidal environments. The torsion angle for the Te—Re—Te—Re sequence of atoms is 17.06 (3)°. The crystal structure is stabilized by weak C—H⋯O and C—H⋯π inter­actions. In addition, there are Te⋯Te distances [4.0392 (12) Å] and O⋯O distances [2.902 (19) Å] which are shorter than the sum of the van der Waals radii for these atoms. A short inter­molecular lone pair⋯π distance [C O⋯Cg = 3.31 (2) Å] is also observed

    Orphan crops of archaeology-based crop history research

    So-called ‘forgotten’ or ‘orphan’ crops are an important component of strategies aimed at preserving and promoting biodiversity. Knowledge of historical cultivation, usage, and geographic and evolutionary trajectories of plants, that is, crop history research, is important for the long-term success of such efforts. However, research biases in the crops chosen for study may present hurdles. This review attempts to systematically identify patterns in crop species representativeness within archaeology-based crop history research. A meta-analysis and synthesis of archaeo- botanical evidence (and lack thereof) is presented for 268 species known to have been cultivated for food prior to 1492 CE from the Mediterranean region to South Asia. We identified 39 genera with known crop plants in this geographical and histor- ical context that are currently absent from its archaeobotanical record, constituting ‘orphan’ crops of archaeobotany. In addition, a worldwide synthesis of crop species studied using geometric morphometric, archaeogenetic and stable isotope analyses of archaeological plant remains is presented, and biases in the species represented in these disciplines are discussed. Both disciplinary methodological biases and economic agenda-based biases affecting species representativeness in crop history research are apparent. This study also highlights the limited geographic diffusion of most crops and the potential for deeper historical perspectives on how crops become marginal- ized and ‘forgotten’
