In this paper, we review one of the most spreading learning modalities at the moment: blended-learning. The contribution of Information and Communication Technologies to the educational world and the needs in the European Higher Education Area seem to introduce the best scenario for the developing of blended learning experiences. In this paper, we go through some important concepts for the understanding of blended-learning as formative modality. After that, we review some researches carried out around this topic in order to study in a wider and deeper way the effect of using these models in Higher Education institutions

After a brief introduction about the social functions and current possibilities of television in education, in this paper we show the experiences carry out in the University of Granada with the starting of a university television. We explain what (type of emissions) and how it鈥檚 been doing now. The University of Granada has opted to technological developments and it鈥檚 working on IP Television and taking advantage of its possibilities. We describe here the resources that have been used by the University of Granada for developing and broadcasting of audiovisual material. Finally we evaluate the starting of these experiences and we focus on its future possibilities around formative and informative potentials. Also we analyze how it can influence in the training of receptors by modifying their knowledge, conduct, attitudes... But, above all, we think that these experiences must be based on the improvement of learning processes

The aim of this research was to develop an explanatory model of body mass index (BMI), health-related quality of life, and physical activ- ity, and to analyse the effects of the physical variables on the levels of physical activity, self-esteem and health-related quality of life. A cross- sectional study was conducted on a sample of 631 Spanish schoolchildren (12.5 卤 1.4 years old). They completed questionnaires on self-esteem (Rosemberg test), physical activity (PAQ-C), Mediterranean diet (KIDMED), quality of life (KIDSCREEN-27) and had their BMI and maximum oxygen uptake measured. Structural equations constituted the statistical analyses. A correlation was found between lower BMI and fewer hours of self-reported screen time which was also conducive to higher cardio-respiratory levels and greater engagement in physical activity. More physical activity and better dietary care were related generally with higher health-related quality of life and self-esteem. The model demonstrated ac- ceptable goodness of fit. Findings of the study suggest physical activity and positive dietary behaviours should be promoted in Spanish schools as incremental improvements have the potential to concordantly improve a large range of healthful outcomes including health-related quality of life, self-esteem and BMI
