    Accurate Guidance Method and App Development for Assigning Parking Spaces Based on Indoor Wi-Fi

    Existing parking guidance systems only provide road guidance outside the parking lot but do not provide accurate guidance to specific parking spaces inside the parking lot. By using a Kalman filter, the Grubbs test, and a neural network algorithm to improve the RSSI-based location fingerprint identification technology, an accurate location method based on indoor Wi-Fi is obtained, which implements precise route guidance and a reverse search function for parking spaces. We utilize Beidou positioning to develop a Gaode map for outdoor navigation and use an integrated system of ultrasonic detector/indicators and ground locks to manage parking spaces. Through the secondary development of an Android system and the application of a MySql database, an app for precise parking guidance was developed. The system makes full use of the Internet and parking information, eliminates information asymmetry, improves the utilization ratio of the urban static traffic resources, allocates parking spaces in real-time, breaks information islands, provides parking search and recommendation functions for users, achieves parking information-sharing, and effectively improves parking efficiency and the parking utilization ratio

    Impact of Vehicular Countdown Signals on Driving Psychologies and Behaviors: Taking China as an Example

    Countdown signal control is a relatively new control mode that can inform a driver in advance about the remaining time to pass through intersections or the time needed to wait for other drivers and pedestrians. At present, few countries apply vehicular countdown signals. However, in China, some cities have applied vehicular countdown signals for years, though it is unclear how and how much such signals influence driving psychologies and behaviors compared with non-countdown signal controls. The present work aims to clarify the impact of vehicular countdown signals on driving psychologies and behaviors on the cognitive level. A questionnaire survey with 32 questions about driving psychologies and behaviors was designed, and an online survey was conducted. A total of 1051 valid questionnaires were received. The survey data were analyzed, and the main results indicate that most of the surveyed drivers prefer countdown signal controls and think that such controls can improve not only traffic safety but also traffic operational efficiency. The surveyed drivers also think that countdown signal controls have an impact on driving psychologies and behaviors and the survey results have demonstrated that the driving behaviors of female drivers surveyed are not conservative under the clear conditions of green countdown signal control. Further studies and methods concerning the effects of countdown signals on driving psychologies and behaviors are discussed. Document type: Articl

    Analysis of EEG characteristics of drivers and driving safety in undersea tunnel

    To study the influence of the driving environment of an undersea tunnel on driver EEG (electroencephalography) characteristics and driving safety, a real vehicle experiment was performed in the Qingdao Jiaozhou Bay Tunnel. The experimental data of the drivers' real vehicle experiment were collected using an illuminance meter, EEG instrument, video recorder and other experimental equipment. The undersea tunnel is divided into different areas, and the distribution law of driving environment characteristics, EEG characteristics and vehicle speed characteristics is analyzed. The correlations between the driving environment characteristics, EEG characteristics and vehicle speed characteristics model the variables that pass the correlation test. The driving safety evaluation model of an undersea tunnel is established, and the driving safety in different areas of the undersea tunnel is evaluated. The results show that there are obvious differences in illumination, EEG power change rate, vehicle speed and other variables in different areas of the undersea tunnel. The driving environment characteristics are highly correlated with the β wave power change rate. The driving safety of different areas of the undersea tunnel from high to low is: upslope area, downslope area, exit area and entrance area.     Statistical Analysis of Traffic Accidents in Shanghai River Crossing Tunnels and Safety Countermeasures

    A large number of traffic tunnel accidents have been reported in China since the 21th century. However, few studies have been reported to analyze traffic accidents that have occurred in urban road tunnels. This study aims to examine the characteristics of the temporal, spatial, and modality distributions of traffic in Shanghai river crossing tunnels using statistical analysis and comparative analysis. Employing these techniques tunnel accident data obtained from Shanghai center 110 was analyzed to determine temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of traffic accidents in river crossing tunnels in Shanghai. The results of this analysis are discussed and summarized in this paper. Identification of the characteristics of tunnel traffic accidents can provide valuable information for development of effective countermeasures to improve tunnel safety in China

    Research on Direct Yaw Moment Control of Electric Vehicles Based on Electrohydraulic Joint Action

    To solve the problem of lateral instability of the vehicle caused by insufficient lateral force of the tires due to the insufficient torque provided by the motor to the tire when the vehicle turns sharply or avoids obstacles in an emergency, a layered control method is used to design a lateral stability control system. The upper decision layer selects the yaw rate and the sideslip angle of the center of mass as the control variables and uses the joint state deviation of the yaw rate and the sideslip angle of the center of mass and the rate of change of the deviation as the input of the sliding mode variable structure controller to calculate the additional yaw moment required to maintain vehicle stability. The lower torque distribution layer realizes the distribution of torque through the electro-hydraulic coordinated control method: the torque distribution rule based on real-time load transfer calculates the torque corresponding to the control wheel and generates the torque through the hub motor and transmits it to the wheel. When the torque output from the motor cannot provide sufficient torque for the vehicle, hydraulic braking is used as a compensating control, and the difference between the required yaw torque and the motor-generated yaw torque is used as the required torque for hydraulic control to calculate the wheel cylinder pressure required to brake the wheels. Based on the joint simulation model of MATLAB/Simulink and Carsim, the sine and double shift line working condition are selected for stability simulation experiments. From the simulation results, it can be seen that the yaw rate and sideslip angle of the center of mass of the vehicle with sliding mode control and electro-hydraulic coordinated control almost coincide with the ideal value curve, which are both smaller than the output parameters of the uncontrolled vehicle. From the perspective of the motor output torque, compared with pure motor control, the effect of electro-hydraulic coordinated control is better, and the hydraulic system can compensate for the braking torque in time and enhance the lateral stability of the vehicle. The designed control strategy can make the yaw rate and the sideslip angle of the center of mass of the vehicle follow the reference value better, which can effectively avoid the vehicle sideslip and instability and improve the vehicle yaw stability and driving safety. However, due to the limitations of experimental equipment, the proposed method could not be applied to the real vehicle test. The real vehicle test can better test the control effect of the proposed method
