Identification of Gram Negative Uropathogenic Enterobacteriacae and Non-Fermenterwith the RAS-ID-Gramneg

Insgesamt 311 Stämme gramnegativer harnwegspathogener Enterobacteriaceen und Nonfermenter, davon 200 Isolate aus frischem Urin der täglichen Routine und 111 ausgewählte, bezüglich ihrer Identifikation problematische Keime aus der Stammsammlung des Zentrums der Hygiene, Frankfurt/Main, wurden mit den Systemen RAS-ID-Gramne9, und API 20 E bzw. NE, vergleichend getestet. Das RAS~ID-Gramne9-System benutzt 10 biochemische Reaktionen zur Identifizierung gramnegativer Bakterien sowie 10 Chemotherapeutika zur Resistenzbestimmung. Von den 200 Routinestämmen zeigten 196 (98%), von den 111 Stämmen aus der Stammsammlung 98 (88,3 %) Übereinstimmung. Die gute Übereinstimmung und die schnelle und einfache Handhabung läßt das RAS-ID-Gramne9-System für die Identifizierung harnwegs-pathogener Routinekeime als kostengünstige Alternative zu anderen aufwendigeren Identifizierungssystemen erscheinen.A total number of 311 gram-negative uropathogenic enterobacteriacae and non-fermenter were tested in a comparative study applying two different tests System (RAS-I D-Gram™9 , and API 20 E respectively API N E). Two hundred probes were routine isolates from fresh urine, 111 probes were selected bacteria from the culture collection of the Center of Hygiene, Univ.-Clinics of Frankfurt a. M., which prooved difficult to identify. The RAS-ID-Gramne9-system relies on 10 biochemical reactions for the Identification of gram negative bacteria and 10 antimicrobial agents for susceptibility testing. 196 (98 %) ofthe 200 routine strains and 98 (88,3 %) of the 111 strains from the culture collection showed concording results. .Results obtained with the RAS-IDGramneg for the Identification of routine uropathogenic germs predisposes it to be a less expensive alternative to more sophisticated Identification Systems

Sincerely James: Reconsidering Frederick Francis’s Proposed Health Wish Formula

This article interacts with Frederick Francis’s well-known suggestion that Jas 5 contains a health wish formula. Based on more recent findings of epistolography, this article argues that the references to healing in Jas 5 contrast sharply with the first-century CE health wish formula(s). In addition to current research on Hellenistic epistolography, this article offers three further pieces of evidence which suggest that the letter of James does not conclude with a health wish formula, but rather with a promise of restoration from spiritual sickness
