What Went Wrong? Lessons in Leadership from Solomon, the Bible’s Wisest and Worst Ruler
This paper attempts to demonstrate the many insights about successful and unsuccessful leadership that may be derived from the life of King Solomon, who, according to Scripture, was the wisest man who ever lived. Solomon may have been very wise but made some very serious blunders as a leader that led to the breakup of his empire after his son took over. This paper answers the obvious question as to which mistake/character flaw transformed Solomon from a great leader to an unsuccessful leader. This paper will also examine the Book of Proverbs attributed to Solomon and see what leadership lessons can be gleaned from it. One question that the paper will attempt to answer is whether or not Solomon followed the path of wisdom discussed in Proverbs
Minuscule representations, invariant polynomials, and spectral covers
Given a minuscule representation of a simple Lie algebra, we find an
algebraic model for the action of a regular element and show that these models
can be glued together over the adjoint quotient, viewed as the set of all
regular conjugacy classes of the Lie algebra. There are partial results in the
case of a quasiminuscule representation, and a conjecture in the case of a
general irreducible finite-dimensional representation. The method of proof is
to relate the question to a problem concerning holomorphic principal bundles

Jet noise from co-axial nozzles over a wide range of geometric and flow parameters
Free field pure jet noise data were taken for a large range of coaxial nozzle configurations. The core nozzles were circular (1 to 4 in. diameter) and plug types. The fan to core area ratio varied from 0.7 to 43.5, while the velocity ratio typically varied from 0 to 1. For most cases the two nozzles were coplanar but large axial extensions of either nozzle were also tested. Correlation of the data resulted in a simple procedure for estimating ambient temperature subsonic coaxial jet noise spectra over a wide range of geometric and flow parameters
