    Bullying: percepções no âmbito escolar na visão dos futuros profissionais

    BACKGROUND: Bullying is a phenomenon that suggests acts of physical and/or verbal violence that occur repetitively with one or more victims. Such phenomenon began to achieve notoriety from studies published in 1980.OBJECTIVE: To identify within the school context, from the speeches of academics, the role of Physical Education in order to overcome bullying.METHODS: This study has the character of being an exploratory research of a qualitative nature in which 20 students of Physical Education from Pará State University took part. Based on interviews, content analysis was employed. RESULTS: The results showed that practice and theory regarding to concepts are aligned with combating bullying, in addition to reflecting that even aggressors sometimes experience some type of abuse in other environments, the main motivations for bullying are related to phenotype and behavior, and Physical Education can be a discipline that contributes in the improvement of students.CONCLUSION: Its concludes that the role of Physical Education in combating bullying is directly linked to the way the teachers positions theirselves regarding this practice.INTRODUÇÃO: O bullying é um fenômeno que sugere atos de violência física e/ou verbal que ocorrem de forma repetitiva com uma ou mais vítimas, tal fenômeno começou a ganhar notoriedade a partir dos estudos publicados em 1980.OBJETIVO: Identificar dentro do contexto escolar, a partir das falas de acadêmicos o papel da Educação Física em relação ao combate ao bullying. MÉTODOS: O estudo tem uma abordagem exploratória e qualitativa em que participaram 20 acadêmicos de Educação Física da Universidade do Estado do Pará. A partir da realização de entrevistas, empregou-se a análise de conteúdo.RESULTADOS: Os resultados mostraram que a prática e a teoria no que se referem a conceitos são alinhados ao combate do bullying, além de refletir que mesmo os agressores por vezes passam por algum tipo de abuso em outros ambientes, entende-se as principais motivações para a prática estão relacionadas ao fenótipo e comportamento e que a Educação Física pode ser uma disciplina a colaborar para a melhoria dos estudantes.CONCLUSÃO: Conclui-se que o papel da Educação Física no combate ao bullying está diretamente ligada à forma que o professor se posiciona em relação a esta prática

    Machine learning in sports medicine: A new approach in human exercise

    The present study aimed to investigate the possible correlations between the cytokine and adipokine Tumour Necrosis Factor Alpha with parameters of body composition and lipid metabolism in young, high-level athletes after an incremental treadmill test observed in a sample of five individuals, male, high-level running athletes who the difficulty of treating large databases with different individuals, multiple biomarkers, and collection times, in addition to physical parameters and sample characteristics, added to the decrease in new findings induced by the application of statistical tools of univariate analysis, indicate the need to apply exploratory machine learning strategies, generating holistic and integrated analysis of the results. The present study showed a negative correlation between TNF and HDL and a similarity between the same TNF and LDL. These findings do not indicate a cause-and-effect relationship but suggest a possible modulation of the immune system, lipid metabolism, and exercise that requires further investigation
