Several organotin derivatives of 1,2- and 1,7-dicarba-closo-dodecaboranes were synthesized and characterized by 119Sn Mössbauer, 1H, 13C and 119Sn NMR spectroscopy. Their antitumour activities in vitro against cancerous cell lines of human origin are reported

Retrieval of HCHO from MAX-DOAS measurements at the high-altitude alpine station of Jungfraujoch (46.5°N, 8.0°E)

Formaldehyde (HCHO) plays an important intermediate role in the atmospheric photo-oxidation pathways. It is produced during the oxidation of methane and many non-methane volatile organic compounds (NMVOCs) which participate to the formation of tropospheric ozone and secondary organic aerosols. HCHO is also directly released by biomass burning and fossil fuel combustion and to a lesser extent by vegetation. Measuring this species is therefore of major importance for air quality and climate change monitoring. In this presentation, HCHO near-surface concentrations and vertical column densities are retrieved from MAX-DOAS measurements performed at the high-altitude station of Jungfraujoch (3580m asl) in the Swiss Alps from July 2010 till December 2012. Although being most of the time located in the free troposphere, this station can be temporarily affected by pollution events originating from the valley, leading to a local increase of air pollutant concentrations. The capability of the MAX-DOAS technique to retrieve HCHO in such high-altitude location is investigated. The spatial representativeness and the impact of cloud cover on the measurements is also discussed. For verification purpose, our retrievals are compared to collocated FTIR observations, taking into account the difference in vertical resolution between both techniques. Simulations from the 3D-CTM IMAGES are also used to further assess the observed seasonal and diurnal cycles of HCHO surface concentration and vertical column

Léiomyomatose intravasculaire utérine avec atteinte cardiaque :Propos d'un cas

Uterine intravenous leiomyomatosis is a rare benign tumor, whose diagnosis of certainty is histological. It is characterized by its potential of intravascular extension with possibility of cardiac localisation imposing a complete surgical removal and a suitable imagery postoperatively. We report the case of a 63-year-old patient, presenting a cardiac extension complicating a LIV, by which we will discuss the diagnosis aspects, prognosis and therapeutic of this pathology. © 2009 Elsevier Masson SAS.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Abdominal wall endometriosis (AWE) is a rare type of endometriosis. Its pathophysiological pathways are still unknown. It generally occurs after surgical, mainly gynecological or obstetrical, interventions. The incidence of AWE after a caesarean section is around 0.03 to 0.04 %. The symptoms are various, but the classical triad includes the presence of a mass, generally painful, associated with a cyclic variation of the symptomatology. The recommended treatment currently remains complete surgical resection of the mass. This article describes three cases of AWE. Each patient had a caesarean section. Their symptoms, however, occurred after various lengths of time and in different circumstances. We will more specifically discuss AWE secondary to cesarean sections, the diagnostic tools, treatment and prevention strategies.SCOPUS: ar.jinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

The 1H and 13C NMR spectra of pyridoxine (vitamin B6) and its dibutylstannylene derivative were assigned from proton detected 1H[BOND]13C heteronuclear multiple bond correlation (1H[BOND]13C HMBC) spectra.FLWNAinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishe

Vulvar Langerhans cell histiocytosis: a case report Case report Open Access

Abstract Langerhans cell histiocytoses (LCH) are a rare group of disorders that comprise a large spectrum of diseases initially known as histiocytosis X. In this case report, we relate a case of LCH affecting the vulva of a 47-year-old female. The patient presented since 3 years with a vulvar lesion characterized by non-healing ulcers and a perineal granuloma on which she underwent surgery. Professionals should keep in mind not to treat straightforwardly lesions of the genital tract as simple sexually transmitted diseases. Chronic, atypical genital lesions seen in women need to be worked up and dealt with accordingly
