Utilisation des services par les personnes fréquentant les ressources pour personnes itinérantes de Montréal et de Québec, et atteintes de troubles concomitants de santé mentale et de toxicomanie
Contexte : Depuis les annĂ©es 1990, le QuĂ©bec vit une vague de dĂ©sinstitutionnalisation et crĂ©e des ressources plus intĂ©grĂ©es pour les personnes ayant des troubles concomitants de santĂ© mentale et de toxicomanie. Or, aucune Ă©tude au QuĂ©bec n’a prĂ©cisĂ© l’utilisation des services par les personnes itinĂ©rantes atteintes de troubles concomitants, qui Ă©prouvent plusieurs difficultĂ©s Ă recevoir des services. Objectif : DĂ©crire l’utilisation de services en santĂ© mentale et en toxicomanie de personnes frĂ©quentant les ressources pour personnes itinĂ©rantes. MĂ©thode : Les troubles de santĂ© mentale, ceux liĂ©s aux substances et les troubles concomitants, et l’utilisation des services relativement Ă ces problèmes sont dĂ©crits Ă partir des donnĂ©es d’une enquĂŞte effectuĂ©e auprès de la clientèle utilisant des ressources pour personnes itinĂ©rantes de MontrĂ©al et de QuĂ©bec (n=757). RĂ©sultats : Vingt-deux pour cent de la population qui utilise des ressources a Ă©prouvĂ© des troubles concomitants au cours d’une annĂ©e. Ces personnes n’utilisent pas plus les services de santĂ© mentale ou ceux liĂ©s Ă la toxicomanie que les personnes n’ayant que le type de problème en question, et ces taux d’utilisation de services sont très bas. Conclusion : Des pistes de solutions (logements supervisĂ©s, programmes PACT) sont suggĂ©rĂ©es et les efforts d’intĂ©gration doivent se continuer afin d’amĂ©liorer l’accessibilitĂ© aux soins de cette clientèle.Context: Since the 90’s, the province of Quebec pass through a deinstitutionalization process and integrated resources for people having concurrent mental health and drug related disorders were created. In Quebec, no study specified the utilization of services by homeless people with concurrent disorders, a population who face difficulties in receiving services. Objective: To describe utilization of mental health and substance related disorders services of clientele using resources intended for homeless people. Methods: This study uses data from a survey conducted on the clientele of resources for homeless persons in Montreal and Quebec city (n=757). Mental health problems, substance use disorders and concurrent disorders, as well as utilization of services related to these problems by clientele from resources for homeless people are presented. Results: Twenty-two percent of this population had concurrent disorders during a one-year period. They don’t use more mental health and substance related disorders services than those with a single problem and their utilization of these services is very low. Conclusion: Some suggestions are brought (supportive housing, PACT programs) and it is proposed to continue working on integration of services in order to improve accessibility for this clientele.Contexto: desde la dĂ©cada del 90 se produce en Quebec una ola de desinstitucionalizaciĂłn, acompañada por la creaciĂłn de recursos más integrados para quienes padecen problemas concomitantes de salud mental y toxicomanĂa. Sin embargo, ningĂşn estudio llevado a cabo en Quebec a precisado la utilizaciĂłn de los servicios por parte de los itinerantes que padecen problemas concomitantes y que experimentan diversas dificultades para recibir dichos servicios. Objetivo: describir el uso de los servicios de salud mental y toxicomanĂa por parte de quienes frecuentan los recursos para itinerantes. MĂ©todo: los problemas de salud mental, aquĂ©llos ligados al consumo de sustancias psicotrĂłpicas y problemas concomitantes y la utilizaciĂłn de los servicios relacionados con estos problemas se describen a partir de datos de una investigaciĂłn realizada con la clientela que utiliza los recursos para itinerantes en Montreal y en Quebec (n=757). Resultados: el veintidĂłs por ciento de la poblaciĂłn que utiliza estos recursos ha experimentado problemas concomitantes durante el curso de un año. Estas personas no utilizan los servicios de salud mental o relacionados con la toxicomanĂa más que las personas que tienen sĂłlo el tipo de problema en cuestiĂłn, y el porcentaje de utilizaciĂłn de estos servicios es muy bajo. ConclusiĂłn: se sugieren soluciones posibles (departamentos en alquiler supervisados, programas PACT) y se señala que los esfuerzos de integraciĂłn deben continuar con el objetivo de mejorar el acceso a los servicios por parte de esta clientela
Generation of artificial facial drug abuse images using Deep De-identified anonymous Dataset augmentation through Genetics Algorithm (3DG-GA)
In biomedical research and artificial intelligence, access to large,
well-balanced, and representative datasets is crucial for developing
trustworthy applications that can be used in real-world scenarios. However,
obtaining such datasets can be challenging, as they are often restricted to
hospitals and specialized facilities. To address this issue, the study proposes
to generate highly realistic synthetic faces exhibiting drug abuse traits
through augmentation. The proposed method, called "3DG-GA", Deep De-identified
anonymous Dataset Generation, uses Genetics Algorithm as a strategy for
synthetic faces generation. The algorithm includes GAN artificial face
generation, forgery detection, and face recognition. Initially, a dataset of
120 images of actual facial drug abuse is used. By preserving, the drug traits,
the 3DG-GA provides a dataset containing 3000 synthetic facial drug abuse
images. The dataset will be open to the scientific community, which can
reproduce our results and benefit from the generated datasets while avoiding
legal or ethical restrictions
Generative Adversarial Networks for anonymous Acneic face dataset generation
It is well known that the performance of any classification model is
effective if the dataset used for the training process and the test process
satisfy some specific requirements. In other words, the more the dataset size
is large, balanced, and representative, the more one can trust the proposed
model's effectiveness and, consequently, the obtained results. Unfortunately,
large-size anonymous datasets are generally not publicly available in
biomedical applications, especially those dealing with pathological human face
images. This concern makes using deep-learning-based approaches challenging to
deploy and difficult to reproduce or verify some published results. In this
paper, we suggest an efficient method to generate a realistic anonymous
synthetic dataset of human faces with the attributes of acne disorders
corresponding to three levels of severity (i.e. Mild, Moderate and Severe).
Therefore, a specific hierarchy StyleGAN-based algorithm trained at distinct
levels is considered. To evaluate the performance of the proposed scheme, we
consider a CNN-based classification system, trained using the generated
synthetic acneic face images and tested using authentic face images.
Consequently, we show that an accuracy of 97,6\% is achieved using
InceptionResNetv2. As a result, this work allows the scientific community to
employ the generated synthetic dataset for any data processing application
without restrictions on legal or ethical concerns. Moreover, this approach can
also be extended to other applications requiring the generation of synthetic
medical images. We can make the code and the generated dataset accessible for
the scientific community
