Lupus anticoagulant-hypoprothrombinemia in healthy adult

The presence of lupus anticoagulant is associated with an elevated risk of venous and arterial thrombosis, and recurrent miscarriages as well. For some cases, this disease can present with bleeding as a consequence of lupus anticoagulant hypoprothrombinemia (LAHPS). LAHPS is a rare disease and it is reported to be most frequent in young females with/without systemic lupus erythematosus or in healthy children who are suffering with a viral infection. In such cases, steroid therapy is usually effective in normalizing the biological abnormalities and controlling the bleeding problems

Improving Outcomes of Percutaneous Coronary Intervention through the Application of Guidelines and Benchmarking: Reduction of Major Bleeding and Blood Transfusion as a Model

Blood transfusions are a relatively common occurrence after performing any percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). Although guidelines for blood transfusion have been previously specified, retrospective analysis of transfusion practices have suggested that these guidelines are rarely applied. We describe a model for the application of a continuous quality improvement program including benchmarking and available guidelines for blood transfusion, aimed toward reducing transfusion rates among patients undergoing PCI. Tenant compte à la fois des pertes par conduction et du taux d'ombre, elle fait apparaître que le dessin de la grille la plus performante est constitué d'éléments rectilignes. A titre d'exemple d'application, la réalisation et l'expérimentation d'un générateur photovoltaïque à concentration a donné lieu à une évaluation technico-économique qui précise les perspectives de cette filière
