In a large part of Latin America, residential segregation has been examined almost exclusively from a socioeconomic perspective, with an ethnic approach far less common. The aim of this article is to analyze segregation of Bolivian and Peruvian migrants residing in the city of Córdoba and its association with access to adequate housing, based on data from the 2010 Census. Both groups are segregated and in deficient residential conditions. Although the most segregated group does not present the worst residential indicators, it is a paradox which underscores the complex relationship between segregation and access to adequate housingEn gran parte de América Latina la segregación residencial ha sido abordada casi exclusivamente desde una perspectiva socioeconómica, siendo mucho menos frecuente su abordaje étnico. Violence indicators in Quebrada de Humahuaca, Jujuy, Argentina: The Regional Development Period from a regional perspective

Quebrada de Humahuaca (Jujuy, Argentina) has been extensively studied by archaeologists. Studies have been focused mainly on the Late Regional Development Period (1250 1430 AD), which has been defined as a time of social conflict. In this paper we present bioarchaeological evidence of interper-sonal violence related trauma found in populations of the region. A sample of 153 skulls from three sites of Quebrada de Humahuaca: Los Amarillos, La Huerta and Yacoraite, were analyzed, differentiating antemortem and perimortem fractures, cut marks as well as the presence of trophy skulls. The results were subjected to nonparametric statistical tests, in order to assess inter-site level differences, sex and age distribution. Bioarchaeological analysis determined a high frequency of interpersonal violence related trauma. Most registered injuries belonged to the antemortem type, demonstrating that the individuals of those events that had generated said cranial trauma had managed to survive. Interpersonal violence affected both men and women the same, registering no differences in neither sex nor age group, however evidence of trauma varied geographically from site to site. Statistical calculations reveal that the Yacoraite site is where the highest frequency of trauma was found, while La Huerta is where the highest level of trophy skulls was registered.Fil: Seldes, Verónica. Pumping charge with ac magnetic fluxes and the dynamical breakdown of Onsager symmetry

We study the transport properties of setups with one and two mesoscopic rings threaded by ac magnetic fluxes of the form \Phi(t)=\Phi^{dc} + \Phi^{ac} cos(\Omega_0 t + \delta) and connected to two different particle reservoirs. We analyze the conditions to generate a pumped dc current in the adiabatic regime. We also study the symmetry properties of the induced dc current as a function of the static component of the flux, \Phi^{dc}, with and without a dc bias voltage applied at the reservoirs. We analyze, in particular, the validity of the Onsager-Casimir relations for different configurations of the setups.Comment: 12 pages, 9 figures, accepted in PRB. Added refences, corrected typos, we now discuss in the conclusion the possibility of an experimental realization of our findings, we now show the main quantities in terms of universal constant
