Influence of technological depressurization on the operation of a cascade pneumatic separator

The article is devoted to assessing the impact of the technological depressurization of the powdered material dispenser on the work of the cascading pneumatic separator. The results of laboratory tests are presented. The article states that the magnitude of effectiveness and the separation boundary of powdered materials are reduced when working with a depressurized dispenser. The mathematical model of the cascading separator and the results of the computer experiment are presented. The article presents the dependence of the quantity of the product and the content of fine particle classes in the finished material on the amount of relative air flow through the powdered dispenser of the initial product. The change in the granulometric composition of the enriched quartz sand received is shown, depending on the amount of relative air consumption through the powdered dispenser at a fixed air velocity through the upper part of the separator. It was found that the maximum relative speed of air flow through the powder dispenser should be no more than 10-15 %. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd

Multi-Product Classifier of Powder Materials

FIELD: separation of bulk materials in gas flows. SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in construction, chemical, mining, metallurgical and other industries for multi-product fractionation of bulk materials by size. A multi-product classifier of bulk materials includes a classification shaft equipped with a system of rigidly fixed coaxial, base-facing, truncated pyramids, forming slot gaps along the perimeter, a branch pipe for supplying the initial bulk material, a distributor of the initial bulk material. The pyramids inside the common body are separated by vertical partitions with the formation of several independent separation channels with their own air flow outlet pipes and nozzles for the removal of large fractions of bulk material. Along the perimeter of the distributor, vertical boards are installed in the form of segments of a circle. EFFECT: increase in the efficiency of fractionation of bulk materials, an increase in the amount of simultaneously obtained separation products. 2 cl, 3 dwg.Предложенное изобретение относится к области разделения сыпучих материалов в газовых потоках и может быть использовано в строительной, химической, горнообогатительной, металлургической и других отраслях промышленности для многопродуктового фракционирования сыпучих материалов по крупности. Многопродуктовый классификатор сыпучих материалов включает классификационную шахту, снабженную системой жестко закрепленных между собой соосных, обращенных основанием вверх, усеченных пирамид, образующих по периметру щелевые зазоры, патрубок подачи исходного сыпучего материала, распределитель исходного сыпучего материала. Пирамиды внутри общего корпуса разделены вертикальными перегородками с образованием нескольких независимых сепарационных каналов со своими патрубками отвода воздушного потока и патрубками отвода крупных фракций сыпучего материала. По периметру распределителя установлены вертикальные борта в виде сегментов круга.
