Current trends in modern languages provision for non-specialist linguists: institution-wide language programmes
This text is based on contributions to a national Institution-Wide Language Programmes conference, which explored the themes of convergence and diversification. Key issues include: harmonizing standards; graduate or employability skills and the teaching and learning experience; non-specialist students and residence abroad; international students studying additional languages while in British Higher Education; and management of consolidation of non-specialist courses with provision for specialist language students
