The aim of the study was to test the provision of feed made from kelakai with the best probiotic dose for the growth of climbing perch. It is expected that the feed formulation made from kelakai in the form of pellets will increase its growth by administering probiotics. The research method used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications, rearing for 30 days in an aquarium. Treatment A: feeding pellets with 20% kelakai flour and 0% probiotics, treatment B: feeding pellets with 20% kelakai flour and 5% probiotics treatment C: feeding pellets with 20% kelakai flour and 10% probiotics, treatment D: giving pelleted feed with 20% kelakai flour and 15% probiotics. The results showed that all treatments were not significantly different, the highest relative length growth was in treatment C (20% kelakai flour; 10% probiotics), the highest relative weight growth of climbing perch was in D treatment (20% kelakai; 15% probiotics), survival 100 % in all treatments. Water quality is within a range that supports the growth and survival of climbing perch

Motile aeromonas septicemia/MAS diseases due to Aeromonas hydrophila infection is an obstacle in cultivation of catfish (Pangasius hypophthalmus). MAS control can be done by administering vaccines. The purpose of this research is to get the right and effective dose of bivalent vaccine for controlling MAS at catfish. Both isolates will be used as vaccines are local strains of A. hydrophila CASO.01.G and SBMI.2. Both of them were isolated from disease catfish in the aquaculture ponds in Cindai Alus and Sungai Batang villages, Banjar Regency, South Kalimantan. Vaccines are made by heating (heat killed) at 100oC for 60 minutes. A total of  13 test catfish measuring 9-13 cm were included in each aquarium. The design used was a completely randomized design with 5 treatments and 3 replications, namely bivalent vaccine with a dose of 109 cells/ml, 108 cells/ml, 107 cells/ml, 106 cells/ml, and control (PBS solution pH 7.0). The highest antibody titers in treatments vaccinated fish at a dose of 107 cells / ml (1,706.67). The effectiveness of the vaccine can be seen by the high RPS value of the treatment dose 109 cells/ml (97.22%); 108 cells/ml (100%); 107 cells/ml (97.22%); and 106 cells/ml (100%). The control MTD value was 1 day with 97.43% mortality, while in the vaccine treatment with dose of 107 cells/ml, there was a MTD repeat value for 1 day, but only 1 fish died. Water quality of this research are supportive and not a cause of fish death during the challenge tes

Kelakai (Stenochlaena palustris) is a typical Kalimantan plant that has been used by Banjar and Dayak communities as traditional medicine and vegetable. This study aimed to examine the potential of kelakai leaves extracts as a natural product to inhibit Aeromonas hydrophila growth. This research included kelakai leaves sampling in Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan, Indonesia, extraction (EtOH 1:4 w/v), phytochemical and chemicals profile screening (LCMS), prediction of biological activity (PASS server), antibacterial activity (broth dilution), antioxidant activity (DPPH), total phenol (gallic acid equivalent), total flavonoid (quercetin equivalent), and total alkaloid (caffeine equivalent). The phytochemical screening showed that the kelakai leaves extract contained saponins, tannins, phenolics, flavonoids, alkaloids, anthraquinones, triterpenoids, and steroids. The chemicals profile of the kelakai leaves ethanol extract consisting of alkaloids, alcohols, amines, amine alcohols, amino acids, fatty acids, flavonoids, glycosylglucose, lipid derivatives, monocarboxylic acid, saponins, steroids, and terpenoids. Prediction of biological activity showed kelakai leaves extract an inhibitor of the peptidoglycan glycosyltransferase enzyme and free radical scavenger. The antibacterial assay showed that kelakai leaves extract could inhibit the growth of A. hydrophila. In addition, kelakai leaves extract showed very strong antioxidant potential (IC50 42.47 ± 0.98 µg/mL), with a total phenol content of 193.97 ± 0.11 mg GAE/g, total flavonoid 23.45 ± 0.14 mg QE/g, and total alkaloid 11.74 ± 0.10 mg CE/g. These research findings show that the ethanol extract of kelakai leaves could be antibacterial against A. hydrophila, which is closely related to its antioxidant properties
