Padang, capital of West Sumatera, is one of a disaster-prone area in Indonesia which was impacted the most by 2009 earthquake disaster. After seven years passed, The Regional disaster management agency of West Sumatra stated that the coordination between relevant government agencies in disaster management was still lacking. Associated with such issue, this research proposes to model an appropriate stakeholder’s coordination scheme based on the concept of 3PR (public, private, and people relationship). After all candidates of stakeholder are considered, a successful indicators of disaster response are identified. Using fuzzy AHP, the indicators were weighted based on their relative importance, and the traffic light system was applied to screen the weighted indicators. Finally, the role of each stakeholder was then identified and charted using the interpretive structural model (ISM). The proposed relationship model in disaster management coordination in Padang City consists of two levels. The first level consists of five stakeholders, namely Semen Padang, Insurance, Muhammadiyah, LPP TVRI, and Andalas University. The second level consists of three stakeholders, namely BPBD Kota Padang, Padang City Social Service and Padang City Health Office. Based on the above mapping, public sectors hold the biggest responsibility in the coordination of disaster management while the private sector and people as a supporter in the success of disaster management activities in the city of Padan

Decision Support System for Inventory Control of Raw Material

    Get PDF
PT Suwarni Agro Mandiri Plant Pariaman is a company which produces fertilizer. This company has a problem related to raw material inventory. The inventory can be overstock or stock out. It is due to their working which is not guided by an information system. Therefore, this research proposes a decision support system for controlling the inventory of the raw material. The system uses Material Requirement Planning (MRP) approach and is designed in three sub-systems. They are OLTP database for managing the daily activities, MRP for determining the lot size and the raw material ordering time, and OLAP with data warehouse for analyzing the raw material data. Keywords-inventory; inventory control; online analytical processing; online transaction processin

Fuzzy Multi-objective Supplier Selection Problem: Possibilistic Programming Approach

    Get PDF
In this paper, a multi-objective mathematical model is developed in fuzzy environment in which the vagueness in aspiration level of objectives and data imprecision regarding the selection criteria and related constraints are con- sidered simultaneously as a source of fuzziness. In the model, such data impreci- sion is presented based on the estimation of its possibility distribution to better capture the uncertainty. Finally, a fuzzy solution methodology is constructed by the aid of weighted additive aggregation function to derive optimal solution. As pre- liminary investigation, we report that the proposed model is more flexible and con- venient than the previous models whose imprecise parameters are treated as a given single estimated value

Improving Service Quality towards Patients' Satisfaction at Stroke Hospitals in West Sumatera

The failure of PMK/05/2013 in evaluating service quality causes hospitals to create assessment. The assessment used to see the gap between perception and expectation and also dimensions. A research by distributing 135 questionnaires to Bukittinggi Stroke Hospital in Inpatient room level I, II, III, and Outpatient of neuro clinic and internal medicine clinic was carried out. Servqual and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) were applied for seeing the influence among the dimensions and Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) for deciding the improvement priorities. The research shows that the gap between perception and expectation are -0.701 in Inpatient and -0.638 in Outpatient which means the service hasn't fulfilled the customers' desire. The dimension of assurance toward patients' desire is 4.283 and the dimension of empathy toward patient desire is 3.518. So, from SEM dimensions, it is identified that the most influential dimensions are empathy and assurance toward patients' desire. The caused hospitals must develop their staff skill, hospitality, and politeness. The credibility of patients, understandable information, and easy communication access are also needed to be upgraded

Innovative multi-criteria decision-making approach for supplier evaluation: Combining TLF, fuzzy BWM, and VIKOR

    Get PDF
Addressing the performance issues of underperforming suppliers necessitates a thorough evaluation, serving as a catalyst for initiating supplier development efforts. However, the inherent inaccuracies in information introduce complexity, especially when human judgment is involved in the supplier evaluation process. Associated with such problem, this study presents a novel methodology for supplier performance evaluation in the crumb rubber industry, integrating the Taguchi Loss Function (TLF), fuzzy Best-Worst Method (BWM), and VIKOR technique in group decision-making environment. Aimed at addressing the challenges in industries with variable supplier quality and performance, such as the crumb rubber industry in Indonesia, the methodology was empirically tested to demonstrate its practical utility. The process involved identifying evaluation criteria through literature review tailored to the needs of decision makers (DMs), applying TLF to quantify losses from supplier performance deviations, using fuzzy BWM to determine criteria weights based on the DMs judgment, and employing the VIKOR technique for comprehensive supplier ranking. The findings underscore the methodology\u27s effectiveness in enhancing decision-making, offering a unified metric that accommodates diverse criteria and balances precise data with subjective assessments. This approach simplifies the evaluation process, particularly in situations with conficting interests among decision-makers. Demonstrating its practical application in the crumb rubber industry, the study highlights the methodology\u27s potential for broader industrial applicability. Future research could explore comparative analyses with other analytical methods, further establishing the methodology\u27s robustness and adaptability in different management contexts

An Integrative Multi Criteria Decision Making Techniques for Supplier Evaluation Problem with its Application

Coordinating business operation with suppliers becomes increasingly important to survive and prosper under the dynamic business environment. A good partnership with suppliers not only increase efficiency, but also strengthen corporate competitiveness. Associated with such concern, this study aims to develop a practical approach of multi-criteria supplier evaluation using combined methods of Taguchi loss function (TLF), best-worst method (BWM) and VIse Kriterijumska Optimizacija kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR). A new framework of integrative approach adopting these methods is our main contribution for supplier evaluation in literature. In this integrated approach, a compromised supplier ranking list based on the loss score of suppliers is obtained using efficient steps of a pairwise comparison based decision making process. Implemetation to the case problem with real data from crumb rubber industry shows the usefulness of the proposed approach. Finally, a suitable managerial implication is presented

Ergonomic Evaluation on Chicken Feeder Tool at Egg-Laying Chicken Farm SME

    Get PDF
This research aims to evaluate the egg-laying chicken feeder that was designed at egg-laying chicken farm small and medium enterprise (SME). The main reason of this tool design was due to the worker’s complain of feeling pain during the feeding process. Evaluation was performed based on Nordic Body Map questionnaire result, physiological workload, and NIOSH lifting equation calculation. The observed work ranged from the feed filling in the basket until all feeds were distributed. The results showed that the %CVL was in the range of 18%-30% and the energy consumption of workers was in the range of 1.24-3.00 Kcal/minute. Thus, physiologically, the work activities carried out by the feed workers were categorized as very light workload. Meanwhile, evaluation using Lifting Index (LI) methods in the process of feeding showed the LI value ranged from 0.9-1, therefore this activity is safe to perform manually. Based on the prototype evaluation on the feeding aid, the process of feeding activities was more effective 1.5 times faster than the old tools. In addition, with the use of this new tool, the feeding process was easier to adjust the dose each time
