Continuity of Optimal Control Costs and its application to Weak KAM Theory

    Get PDF
We prove continuity of certain cost functions arising from optimal control of affine control systems. We give sharp sufficient conditions for this continuity. As an application, we prove a version of weak KAM theorem and consider the Aubry-Mather problems corresponding to these systems.Comment: 23 pages, 1 figures, added explanations in the proofs of the main theorem and the exampl

Chemical composition and nutritional value of the freezing consolidated burgers (Kilka–Silver carp) during cold storage

Consolidated fish burger is a new product which is a combination of common Kilka (Clupeonellacultriventriscaspia) and Silver carp (Hypophthalmichthys molitrix) minced with flavors, fillers, vegetables and tofu dressing. Consolidated fish burger is produced in order to boost the nutritional value and to reduce the cost of end product. This study aimed to investigate the variations in the composition of consolidated burger during 4 months of storage at -18 °C. For this purpose, 4 types of burgers with a combination of a various percentages of Kilka and Silver carp were produced. The chemical composition by means of total protein, fat, moisture and ash contents were evaluated during preparation (zero phase) and 4 months of storage. Results showed that at zero-phase protein% and moisture% in raw Silver carp was higher, whereas fat% and ash% in Kilka was found higher. Protein content in all groups was decreased during 4 months of storage. The decreasing rate was more rapid in control group as well as treatment 3. Fat percentage was dropped during the storage period and the decreasing trend in treatment 2 was found higher. In the case of moisture, the percentage was declined in all groups and in treatment 1, in particular. Considering the results, it was concluded that freezing could significantly decrease the nutritional value of the consolidated Burgers

In this paper, we introduce and study a neutrosophic crisp manifold as a new topological structure of manifold via neutrosophic crisp set. Therefore, we study some new topological concepts and some metric distances on a neutrosophic crisp manifold

The Effect of Different Level of Ziziphus jujube Mill Foliage on Feed Intake, Blood Metabolites and Milk Production and Composition in Fluffy Goats

This Research was conducted to study the effect of different levels of Ziziphus jujube mill foliage on milk yield and composition, blood metabolites (glucose, BUN, triglyceride), dry matter intake and ruminal fermentation. For this purpose 27 heads multiparous southern Khorasan cross-bred goats (DIM of 60±12 and average BW of 28.59±3.18kg) were assigned to three groups as randomized complete design and housed in individual stalls. Treatments were: 1. without jujube leaves, 2. 7.5% jujube leaves/DM of diet and 3. 15% jujube leaves/DM of diet. The Goats were fed TMR diets twice a day (800 and 2000h) and water was available at all the times. For determination the milk composition, ruminal pH, NH3-N and blood parameters, samples were taken in days 30 and 60 and dry matter intake (DMI) and milk yield was measured daily. Dry matter intake between experimental treatments were significant difference (

Cannabis Influences the Putative Cytokines-Related Pathway of Epilepsy among Egyptian Epileptic Patients

The study aims to investigate: (1) the prevalence of cannabis among epileptic patients seen at Mansoura University Hospital, (2) serum levels and gene expression of cytokines in epilepsy patients and the controls. and (3) the possibility that cannabis use affects the cytokine levels in epilepsy patients, triggering its future use in treatment. We recruited 440 epilepsy patients and 200 controls matched for age, gender, and ethnicity. Of the epileptic patients, 37.5% demonstrated lifetime cannabis use with a mean duration of 15 ± 73 years. Serum levels of interleukin IL-1α, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, and tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α), were analyzed and gene expression analysis was conducted only for those cytokines that were different between groups in the serum analysis. The “Epilepsy-only” patients had significantly higher serum and mRNA levels of IL-1α, β, IL-2,6,8, and TNF-α compared to the controls and the “Cannabis+Epilepsy” group (p = 0.0001). IL-10 showed significantly lower levels in the “Epilepsy-only” patients compared to the controls and “Cannabis+Epilepsy” (p = 0.0001). Cannabis use is prevalent among epilepsy patients. Epilepsy is characterized by a pro-inflammatory state supported by high serum and gene expression levels. Cannabis users demonstrated significantly lower levels of inflammatory cytokines compared to epilepsy non-cannabis users which might contribute to its use in the treatment of resistant epilepsy
