Celem niniejszej pracy magisterskiej była próba analizy dialogów i przedstawienia z serialu komediowego Różowe Lata Siedemdziesiąte w kontekście wydarzeń historycznych i problemów społecznych lat 70. XX w. W sitcomie Różowe Lata Siedemdziesiąte można zauważyć opis i reakcje amerykańskiego społeczeństwa na historyczne wydarzenia i problemy społecznej opisywanej dekady. Serial jest również nośnikiem wiedzy o sytuacji w kraju, analizowane dialogi w żartobliwy sposób przedstawiają nurtujące i istotne kwestie dla Amerykanów w latach 70. W rozdziale pierwszym opisany został gatunek serialu telewizyjnego sitcom oraz geneza serialu Różowe Lata Siedemdziesiąte. Rozdział drugi to opis i próba analizy dialogów o tematyce politycznej zawartych w wybranej próbce odcinków. W rozdziale trzecim natomiast analizie poddane zostały kwestie społeczne zawarte w pierwszym i drugim sezonie serialu. Oprócz analizy sitcomu, rozdział drugi i trzeci zawierają także tło społeczno-historyczne dotyczące opisywanych zdarzeń.The present M. A. thesis focuses on the attempt to analyze dialogues and notions from the comedy series That 70’s Show in the context of historical events and social problems of the 1970s. In the sitcom, That 70’s Show one can see the description and reactions of American society to historical events and social problems of the decade. The series has significant outlook on the situation in the country, the analyzed dialogues humorously present the pressing and important issues for Americans in the 1970s. Chapter one describes the origins of sitcom genre and the genesis of That 70’s Show. Chapter two is a description and an attempt to analyze the politically themed dialogues present in selected sample of episodes. Chapter three, analyzes the social issues depicted in the first and second season of the series.
