    The racemic organic building block L acting as a first sphere ligand yields a new second sphere adduct [LH]+·[FeCl4]- crystallizing as racemic polymorphs α and β. Solid-state DFT calculations show that polymorph β is the kinetic adduct as observed experimentally. The β-phase crystallizes in the polar space group Pna21 and displays NLO properties.     One-stitch anastomosis through the skin with bicanalicular intubation:a modified approach for repair of bicanalicular laceration

    <b>AIM:</b> To evaluate the efficacy and safety of one-stitch anastomosis through the skin with bicanalicular silicone tube intubation in repairing of bicanalicular laceration.<b>METHODS:</b>The clinical data of 15 consecutive patients with both superior and inferior canalicular laceration in one eye who underwent surgical repair using one-stitch anastomosis through the skin and bicanalicular stent were retrospective studied. All the operations were performed under surgical microscope, 5-0 silk sutures were used and were with bicanalicular silicone tube (diameter was 8mm) intubation, for one lacerated canaliculi one-stitch anastomosis through the skin. The stents were left in place for 3 months postoperatively and then removed. The follow-up period was 3 - 36 months (average 14 months).<b>RESULTS:</b>In 15 patients, 13 patients were cured entirely, 1 patient was meliorated, 1 patient with no effects. All patients had got good recovery of eyelid laceration with no traumatic deformity in eyelid and canthus. Complication was seen in one case, for not followed the doctor’s guidance to come back to hospital to had the suture removed on the 7<sup>th</sup> day after operation, when he came at the 15<sup>th</sup> day, the inferior canalicular wall and eyelid skin were corroded by the suture caused 2mm wound, and the inside silicone tube was exposed, a promptly repair with 10-0 nylon suture was done, the wound healed in a week. There were no early tube protrusions and punctal slits in the patients.<b>CONCLUSION:</b>One-stitch anastomosis through the skin with bicanalicular silicone tube intubation is a good method in repair of bicanalicular laceration in one eye, the cut ends can be anastomosed directly, and with excellent cosmetic results, it is acceptable for the patients. For there is no suture remained in the wound permanently, so there is no suture-related granuloma which may cause obstruction or stenosis of canaliculi. It is simple, economical, effective and safe

    Methanation Catalyst for Low CO Concentration

    A Ni-based catalyst supported by γ-Al2O3 was prepared by impregnation method, and the catalyst was used in a low CO and CO2 concentration methanation system. The effect of temperature, pressure and space velocity on the methanation reaction was investigated in an experimental fixed-bed reactor. The methanation reaction was operated at the conditions of 190-240°C, 3000-24000ml•g-1•h-1 and 1.5-3.5MPa. The results show that temperature and space velocity play important role on the reaction. With the increase of reaction temperature the CO and CO2 conversion increase and the selectivity of CH4 increase. And with the increase of the space velocity the conversion of CO and CO2 and the selectivity of CH4 decrease sharply

    The role of environmental justice reform in corporate green transformation: Evidence from the establishment of China’s environmental courts

    Purpose: The establishment of environmental courts in China provides a good opportunity to explores the economic effects of environmental justice reform. This paper investigates how the environmental justice reform can influence corporate green transformation from the perspective of green technology innovation and explores the potential mechanisms of how the environmental courts affect green technology innovation. The heterogeneous effects of environmental courts are also considered.Methodology: Using the establishment of environmental courts in China as a quasi-natural experiment, this paper adopts a difference-in-difference (DID) method to conduct empirical test based on data on Chinese listed A-shared firms from 2004 to 2019. Moreover, this paper use propensity score matching (PSM), tobit and negative binomial regression method to address possible estimation bias.Findings: The establishment of environmental courts significantly enhances green technology innovation among enterprises. The more effective judicial enforcement and better public awareness of the environment brought by the environmental courts will increase the cost of illegality and external supervision pressure for firms, which will lead firms to innovate in green technology. Furthermore, the positive and significant effect of environmental courts on green technology innovation is more pronounced in state-owned enterprises (SOEs) and enterprises located in regions where local protectionism is more serious or regions with more ideal environmental legal system

    Temporal and spatial distribution of phosphorus in the Xiangxi River

    The phosphorus in water and sediment collected at different time from the Xiangxi River were analyzed. The results indicated that the phosphorus pollution have significant relations to human activities (especially the phosphorus industry). The concentrations of total-phosphorus (TP), total dissolved phosphorus (TDP) and dissolved phosphorus (DP) in Dec. 2004 were higher than those in Jul. 2005; the TP contents of sites 15 and 16 were much higher than others', the TP content of the largest site 16 was 1946.29 mg/kg in Dec. 2004 and 1756.11 mg/kg in Jul. 2005, respectively, which was much higher than the average (1497.51 mg/kg and 1369.38 mg/kg, respectively). The TP content in the sediment of the Xiangxi River was from 1179.53 mg/kg to 1851. 20 mg/kg. The TP contents of most sites except site 18, 19 and 20 were higher in Dec. 2004 than those in Jul. 2005. The aluminium-phosphorus (Al-P) content in the sediment was obviously higher in Jul. 2005 than that in Dec. 2004, which indicated that the stability of Al-P has a significant relation to the change of season
