    An Analysis of the Potential Applications of Big Data Analytics (BDA) in Supply Chain Management: Emerging Market Perspective

    Big Data is defined as the techniques, technologies, systems, practices, methodologies, and applications that analyze critical business data to help an enterprise better understand its business and market and make timely business decisions. Big Data can be utilized to gain critical and fundamental insights towards optimizing the supply chain decisions more effective and efficient. In the recent years, therefore, researchers and practitioners have tried to measure the capabilities of Big Data to optimize Supply Chain Management (SCM) efficiency. This research attempts to provide a clear understanding of Big Data applications on Supply Chain Management in emerging markets, especially in Bangladesh, primarily focusing on four key areas: reducing inventory cost, attaining cost leadership, improving customer service and enhancing speed of delivery. To investigate the potential application of Big Data in supply management, a qualitative research has been conducted. Ten in-depth interviews and a case study have been conducted to collect the relevant information from the supply chain experts of the selected firms. Thematic analysis and Hermeneutic iterative methods of analyses have been used. The results indicate that the supply chain of both physical products and services can be benefited from Big Data analytics. The study also revealed that Big Data can be applied in SCM for operational and development purposes including value discovery, value creation and value capture. This study would help the decision makers and practitioners of Supply Chain Management of diverse fields to adopt Big Data to improve the organizations performance and sustainability.     A comprehensive study of mental health issues: impact on overseas university students

    Purpose: This research aimed to find out the mental problems of overseas students and how they can remove it. Research Methodology: In-depth interview method was done on the basis of Google form. After the interview, it was interpreted by thematic analysis. Results: 80% of overseas students face mental health disorders. Limitations: A larger sample size, including students residing other parts of the country should be considered in future research. The result is also difficult to generalize due to the unequal participation of male and female respondents.  Contribution: This study can be useful in those universities where overseas students study.     Unpacking Brand Imperialism in Bangladesh: Emerging Market Perspective

    Purpose: The main purpose of this article is to understand the meaning of counterfeit consumption from less affluent consumers’ perspectives. Methodology A qualitative research process was taken as a means to conduct this study, and the data is collected using an ethnographic and ethnographic approach. An iterative hermeneutic process is followed to analyze the data collected. Results: The study revealed that less affluent people use counterfeit products mainly to reflect abhorrent sentiments toward foreign brands. This abhorrence leads to building resistance and resilience, which is primarily the production of counterfeit products. Limitations: The significance of this research paper can be limited by the respondent sample size, which was not so large for concluding. Moreover, the data were only collected from the respondents of Dhaka City because of its time limitation, which results in making our study narrow. Contribution: This study will help scholars and academicians as well as market researchers to get depth understanding of why counterfeit consumption is acceptable to less affluent consumers. And, this empirical study will also have detailed the perceptions of less affluent customers regarding the consumption of foreign brands. As no prior papers have discussed the different aspects of counterfeit consumption by less affluent consumers, this paper will add new insight into the topic of academia
