Jesus\u27 Welcome Centers Our Ministry
(Excerpt)
Americans are 60% churchgoers today, just as in colonial times and in every century since. But our times are different. Today everything stands in question. In San Francisco and the western half of Washington State, 90% of residents tell census takers they have no religious identity whatever. Moreover, today America offers many faith options: Buddhism, New Age Spirituality, Islam, and countless fundamentalist cults. Our own mainline church services increasingly resemble fourth-century churches, filling up with people with no known faith commitment. That describes not only our visitors, but longtime church members as well
Attitudes and Beliefs of Job Development Professionals Toward Employers
Job development and placement professionals assist people with disabilities to secure, maintain, and advance in employment and thus have an important role in achieving quality employment outcomes for job seekers they represent. This research, conducted in NJ and MD, describes findings related to the attitudes and beliefs of job development professionals toard employers and the employment process
Job Developer Types, Placement Practices and Outcomes Technical Report
Despite numerous employment initiatives, people with disabilities are significantly more likely to experience unemployment and consequently, reduced economic and social well-being and a dminished quality of life than their non disabled peers. In a recent national survey of employers, less than 14% of companies indicated that they actively recruit jobseekers with disabilities. Thus, the role of the job development professional is pivotal to helping job seekers with disabilities to find, secure and maintain employment. This research report examined the attitudes and beliefs of job development processionals articulated in a previous technical report by TransCen, Inc. and looked to further explore the relationship between the types, other personal characteristics and placement outcomes of the various job developer types
Strategies Used by Employment Service Providers in the Job Development Process: Are they consistent with what employers want?
Historically, the role of job developers employed in the state/federal vocational rehabilitation program and the larger network of community-based rehabilitation programs has been to identify and secure paid employment for individuals with disabilities, particularly those with significant disabilities. This technical report describes the results of a study of job development/job placement professionals' strategies in the employment process, and compares these results to employer perceptions of the employment process from recent literature. The report also identifies implications for job development/placement practice based on this comparative analysis
Phase transformation kinetics in laser-powder bed fused Fe-Cr-Ni-Al maraging stainless steel
In the current study, cylindrical rods of Fe-Cr-Ni-Al maraging steel (with the brand name CX) are fabricated using the laser-powder bed fusion (L-PBF) technique. The material is then analyzed using the differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) technique under continuous heating at different heating rates. The DSC results are employed to identify the heat flow peaks associated with the precipitation and austenite reversion phase transformations. The peaks are then analyzed and processed to determine the onset, peak, and end temperatures associated with each phase transformation. These results are used to calculate the degree of phase transformation under non-isothermal conditions and to evaluate the activation energy of transformation through the Kissinger method. In the next step, the modified Johnson-Mehl-Avrami-Kolmogorov(JMAK) model is employed to model the kinetics of phase transformations during non-isothermal heating. The validated model is then used to predict the kinetics of precipitation and austenite reversion phase transformations under isothermal aging heat treatments. The results of the current study propose a new heat treatment regime for L-PBF-CX to reduce the level of reverted austenite that can enhance the strength of the material
Maximally twisted eleven-dimensional supergravity
We perform the maximal twist of eleven-dimensional supergravity. This twist
is partially topological and exists on manifolds of
holonomy. Our derivation starts with an explicit description of the
Batalin-Vilkovisky complex associated to the three-form multiplet in the pure
spinor superfield formalism. We then determine the module structure
of the supersymmetry algebra on the component fields. We twist the theory by
modifying the differential of the Batalin-Vilkovisky complex to incorporate the
action of a scalar supercharge. We find that the resulting free twisted theory
is given by the tensor product of the de Rham and Dolbeault complexes of the
respective and holonomy manifolds as conjectured by Costello.Comment: 40 pages, 10 table
