FinAccess Household Survey 2015

The Kenya FinAccess household survey measures access to and demand for financial services among adults in a nationally representative survey. The 2015 FinAccess sample is nationally representative based on the KNBS NASSEP V national household sampling frame. The target sample is 10,008 interviews from 834 clusters across Kenya (14 households will be targeted in each cluster). On respondent per household (+16 years) was selected randomly. The sample for the 2006 survey was based on the National Sample Survey and Evaluation (NASSEP IV) developed from the Population and Housing Census of 1999. Estimates from the 2006 survey are statistically reliable for adults above the age of 16, at the national, province and urban/rural level

The sample for the 2013 survey was based on the National Sample Survey and Evaluation (NASSEP V) developed in 2012. Estimates from the 2006 survey are statistically reliable for adults above the age of 16, at the national, province and urban/rural level

FinAccess geospatial mapping 2013

This data contains a set of coordinates pin-pointing the location of commercial bank branches, ATMs, MFIs, SACCOs, PostBanks, Forex Bureaus, Mobile Money agents and a host of other financial access points. The dataset made available here contains the latitude and longitude coordinates of all financial access points by type collected in November of 2013. Financial Diaries - All Transactions

The Kenya Financial Diaries 2012-2013 transactions dataset contains the daily cash flows of 298 low-income households over approximately one year. The study was conducted across five areas in Kenya: Mombasa, Nairobi, Makueni, Vihiga and El Doret

FinAccess geospatial mapping 2015

Between March and August of 2015, Brand Fusion in collaboration with the Central Bank of Kenya, the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation and FSD Kenya, collected location data on 91,158 financial access points (including mobile money agents, bank agents, microfinance banks, SACCOs, microfinance institutions, hire purchase companies and others) and 27,684 agricultural institutions (including agro dealers, market locations, farmer organizations and cooperatives, warehouses, cattle dips and others)
