SuperIso: A program for calculating the isospin asymmetry of B -> K* gamma in the MSSM
We present a program for calculating the isospin symmetry breaking of the B
-> K* gamma decay in the MSSM with minimal flavor violation. This program
calculates the NLO supersymmetric contributions to the isospin asymmetry, using
the effective Hamiltonian approach and within the QCD factorization method. We
show that isospin symmetry breaking proves to be a very restrictive observable,
in particular in the mSUGRA parameter space. The program also calculates the
inclusive branching ratio associated to b -> s gamma transition, as a
comparison reference.Comment: 17 pages, 1 figure, source code can be obtained from

Two Boosted Black Holes in Asymptotically de Sitter Space-Time - Relation between Mass and Apparent Horizon Formation -
We study the apparent horizon for two boosted black holes in the
asymptotically de Sitter space-time by solving the initial data on a space with
punctures. We show that the apparent horizon enclosing both black holes is not
formed if the conserved mass of the system (Abbott-Deser mass) is larger than a
critical mass. The black hole with too large AD mass therefore cannot be formed
in the asymptotically de Sitter space-time even though each black hole has any
inward momentum. We also discuss the dynamical meaning of AD mass by examining
the electric part of the Weyl tensor (the tidal force) for various initial
data.Comment: 15 pages, accepted for publication in PR
High-Speed Cylindrical Collapse of Two Perfect Fluids
In this paper, the study of the gravitational collapse of cylindrically
distributed two perfect fluid system has been carried out. It is assumed that
the collapsing speeds of the two fluids are very large. We explore this
condition by using the high-speed approximation scheme. There arise two cases,
i.e., bounded and vanishing of the ratios of the pressures with densities of
two fluids given by . It is shown that the high-speed approximation
scheme breaks down by non-zero pressures when are bounded
below by some positive constants. The failure of the high-speed approximation
scheme at some particular time of the gravitational collapse suggests the
uncertainity on the evolution at and after this time. In the bounded case, the
naked singularity formation seems to be impossible for the cylindrical two
perfect fluids. For the vanishing case, if a linear equation of state is used,
the high-speed collapse does not break down by the effects of the pressures and
consequently a naked singularity forms. This work provides the generalisation
of the results already given by Nakao and Morisawa [1] for the perfect fluid.Comment: 11 pages, 1 figure, accepted for publication in Gen. Rel. Gra
Skew-Unfolding the Skorokhod Reflection of a Continuous Semimartingale
The Skorokhod reflection of a continuous semimartingale is unfolded, in a
possibly skewed manner, into another continuous semimartingale on an enlarged
probability space according to the excursion-theoretic methodology of Prokaj
(2009). This is done in terms of a skew version of the Tanaka equation, whose
properties are studied in some detail. The result is used to construct a system
of two diffusive particles with rank-based characteristics and skew-elastic
collisions. Unfoldings of conventional reflections are also discussed, as are
examples involving skew Brownian Motions and skew Bessel processes.Comment: 20 pages. typos corrected, added a remark after Proposition 2.3,

Theory of Coupled Multipole Moments Probed by X-ray Scattering in CeB
A minimal model for multipole orders in CeB shows that degeneracy of the
quadrupole order parameters and strong spin-orbit coupling lead to peculiar
temperature and magnetic-field dependences of the X-ray reflection intensity at
superlattice Bragg points. Furthermore, the intensity depends sensitively on
the surface direction. These theoretical results explain naturally recent X-ray
experiments in phases II and III of CeB. It is predicted that under weak
magnetic field perpendicular to the (111) surface, the reflection intensity
should change non-monotonically as a function of temperature.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure
Collective dynamical response of coupled oscillators with any network structure
We formulate a reduction theory that describes the response of an oscillator
network as a whole to external forcing applied nonuniformly to its constituent
oscillators. The phase description of multiple oscillator networks coupled
weakly is also developed. General formulae for the collective phase sensitivity
and the effective phase coupling between the oscillator networks are found. Our
theory is applicable to a wide variety of oscillator networks undergoing
frequency synchronization. Any network structure can systematically be treated.
A few examples are given to illustrate our theory.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figure
Averaging approach to phase coherence of uncoupled limit-cycle oscillators receiving common random impulses
Populations of uncoupled limit-cycle oscillators receiving common random
impulses show various types of phase-coherent states, which are characterized
by the distribution of phase differences between pairs of oscillators. We
develop a theory to predict the stationary distribution of pairwise phase
difference from the phase response curve, which quantitatively encapsulates the
oscillator dynamics, via averaging of the Frobenius-Perron equation describing
the impulse-driven oscillators. The validity of our theory is confirmed by
direct numerical simulations using the FitzHugh-Nagumo neural oscillator
receiving common Poisson impulses as an example
Gravitational Collapse with a Cosmological Constant
We consider the effect of a positive cosmological constant on spherical
gravitational collapse to a black hole for a few simple, analytic cases. We
construct the complete Oppenheimer-Snyder-deSitter (OSdS) spacetime, the
generalization of the Oppenheimer-Snyder solution for collapse from rest of a
homogeneous dust ball in an exterior vacuum. In OSdS collapse, the cosmological
constant may affect the onset of collapse and decelerate the implosion
initially, but it plays a diminishing role as the collapse proceeds. We also
construct spacetimes in which a collapsing dust ball can bounce, or hover in
unstable equilibrium, due to the repulsive force of the cosmological constant.
We explore the causal structure of the different spacetimes and identify any
cosmological and black hole event horizons which may be present.Comment: 7 pages, 10 figures; To appear in Phys. Rev.
