On the giant dipole resonance excitation in very hot nuclei
We discuss some of the ingredients necessary in the study of the excitation of the Giant Dipole Resonance in very hot nuclei
The entrance channel effects in fusion-evaporation reactions studied with the GASP spectrometer
The gamma-ray emission as a probe of entrance channel effects in fusion-evaporation reactions
The gamma-ray emission in heavy-ion fusion reactions at low bombarding energy has been studied to investigate possible entrance channel effects on the de-excitation of the compound nucleus. The analysis of the experimental data shows that the charge (N/Z ratio) and the mass asymmetries between target and projectile could influence the formation and the decay of the excited nuclear system
