    The numerical solutions of the non-relativistic Yukawa model on a 3-dimensional size lattice with periodic boundary conditions are obtained. The possibility to extract the corresponding -- infinite space -- low energy parameters and bound state binding energies from eigensates computed at finite lattice size is discussed

    Credibility and Inflation Targeting in Chile

    In this paper we present new evidence on the recent changes of the inflationary dynamics for the Chilean economy. We show that price rigidity has increased while the degree indexation based on past inflation has decreased over time. We also show that the passthrough from the exchange rate to traded goods inflation has decreased in recent years. We argue that these changes are related to an enhanced credibility of the monetary policy that has improved the tradeoff faced by the Central Bank. Consistently with this hypothesis, we show that the policy rule that characterizes the behavior of the Central Bank of Chile has become more aggressive in fighting inflation deviations from the target, and also more forward-looking.

    When the monetary authority lacks credibility it faces a larger trade-off between output and inflation. This poses important challenges for the implementation and design of an inflation targeting regime and an inflation stabilization process. In this paper we show how these challenges have determined different implementation phases of an inflation targeting regime in Chile, and how imperfect credibility is consistent with the different features of the disinflationary process followed by Chile during the 90s.

    After a brief discussion of the meaning of the potential in quantum mechanics, we examine the results of the Yukawa model (scalar meson exchange) for the nucleon-nucleon interaction in three different dynamical frameworks: the non-relativistic dynamics of the Schrodinger equation, the relativistic quantum mechanics of the Bethe-Salpeter and Light-Front equations and the lattice solution of the Quantum Field Theory, obtained in the quenched approximation.Comment: 17 pages, 9 figures.     The New Keynesian Phillips Curve in an Emerging Market Economy: The Case of Chile

    This paper presents GMM empirical estimations of the New Keynesian Phillips curve (NKPC) for Chile. Our results tend to support the hybrid version of the NKPC, with an estimated backward-looking coefficient of about 0.4. The estimated Calvo coefficient, that captures the degree of price rigidity, assuming firm specific capital is about 0.65. This implies that prices are optimally adjusted on average every 3 quarters, approximately. Our results also indicate the existence of a structural break in the NKPC, which occurred when the inflation target converged to its long-run level (around 2000). We find evidence that the frequency of optimal price adjustment and the degree of indexation to past inflation have decreased over time.

    Effect of the nearby levels on the resonance fluorescence spectrum of the atom-field interaction

    We study the resonance fluorescence in the Jaynes-Cummings model when nearby levels are taking into account. We show that the Stark shift produced by such levels generates a displacement of the peaks of the resonance fluorescence due to an induced effective detuning and also induces an asymmetry. Specific results are presented assuming a coherent and a thermal fields

    Comment on "Lattice Gluon and Ghost Propagators, and the Strong Coupling in Pure SU(3)SU(3) Yang-Mills Theory: Finite Lattice Spacing and Volume Effects"

    The authors of ref. Phys.Rev. D94 (2016) no.1, 014502 reported about a careful analysis of the impact of lattice artifacts on the SU(3)SU(3) gauge-field propagators. In particular, they found that the low-momentum behavior of the renormalized propagators depends on the lattice bare coupling and interpreted this fact as the result of it being affected by finite lattice spacing artifacts. We do not share this interpretation and present here a different and more suitable explanation for these results
